Default Royce to fight Sapp?

I've been seeing a few rumors floating around that Royce Gracie is asking for a fight with Bob Sapp. Can anyone confirm or squash this rumor? Also, what rules would they fight under? I would assume it would be mma cuz Gracie isn't exactly interested in eating through a straw for the rest of his life but I don't know for sure.

I hate Royce Gracie, but i hate Bob Sapp more... and i think that Royce would have a strong chance to submit him.

Is Sapp honestly good at anything, besides being a huge, strong man?

I agree with you about Sapp. The thing is though that I believe he is working on his fighting skills, I've even seen him throw a few kicks as of late. He's to big though and gasses quickly, we already know that Royce can take a beating while waiting his opponent out and when that happens...tap, tap, say goodnight Bob.

Yeah, I did see Bob throw a kick or two in a fight and I did hear he has been working on kicks and such.....That could be fun to watch there is a small part of me that thinks he may be able to beat Royce if he can lose some weight so he don't hit E to fast.

If he doesn't though like you said its over once he is gassed !

Just a rumor I was throwing out there to see if anybody had heard, it's most likely just bs though cuz it would seem weird for Royce to fight Bob when there's so many guys that are more experienced in mma that would love a chance to even be on the same canvas as him.

i don't see Royce ever fighting Sapp. Royce would be giving up too much weight. Royce would'nt even fight Ken Shamrock again because Royce said that Ken was too big and would have to come down to Royce's weight.

Isn't Gracie JJ suppose to have a big focus on not needing to be big and strong but being able to fight people bigger and stronger ?

Shamrock I think said he would drop to 205 if Royce came up but Royce wouldn't do it from what I've heard.....Maybe he should fight Ken again and the loser retires LoL

That's a lot to ask of a guy to drop from 230+ to 185 Royce should fight Ken IMO at 205.......He needs to stay away from Sapp unless he wants to get forced into retirement, He isn't much of a standup striker from the fights I've seen he would be going in on total luck that Bob would gas out and he could take him down, And that might not happen fast enough if Bob is getting in better fighting shape.

I wonder what Sapp is at now.....If he is low 200s then maybe he could drop down but he is pretty tall so it may be too low for him to go.

And then you must call in his skill level if he loses all the power what does he have to fight with ?

It would be funny though to see bob that small

Sapp weighs 350lbs.. I donīt think it is physically possible for him to drop down 150lbs. I mean anything is possible.. but not that much weight. Realistic would be about 290-310lbs, and that would be allot of weight being cut.

Thumbs down

If there even was a fight, Royce would have to hope to god that Sapp would tire out before he cracks Royce's head open, Royce's game is to take you down and try to submit you, but Bob would love nothing better, so he could pound on Royce with those 80 pound arms, No sir, Royce would be making a huge mistake in trying to take on Sapp in a MMA Fight. Now before some of you guy's start talking about how Royce beat the Big ex Sumo champ, who's name is Chad, not to long ago, Chad did not know **** about MMA and that's why he lost to Royce, but Bob does know some MMA and is way stronger than Chad.

I remember those bombs Sapp was laying on Big Nog. But Nogīs BJJ was just too good. If Royce has the chin of Big Nog, then he has a realistic chance of winning.

I can see Sapp kicking and Royce doing what he did to Akebono. Kick his legs and take him down and hope to god Sapp doesn't roll.

Sapp is a dedicated fighter who has been training hard on all aspects of his game. His cardio has been improving alot lately. He's on his way to becoming a dominant fighter.
