CroCop vs Bob Sapp
http://youtube.com/watch?v=wNMgevrH8EI
That was a weird fight. Sapp looked a one dimentional fighter. He sustained a very seruous injury in that fight.
Just shows, how good Cro crop is, he looked very calm, whilst Sapp looked fired up. He waited for his chance to punch, and made them count, unlike Sapp who just fired at will.

I moved this thread. This was a K-1 fight, not a Pride fight.
If I remember right, the rumor was Mirko fractured Sapp's right orbital socket, thus the collapse of the big man from the single left.

Yeah, Sapp was crying like crazy, his orbital was fractured VERY badly. The announcing team was worried about him post-fight.
Which kinda shows that Diaz had to have been stoned in his fight not to feel it.

Sapp was still quiet scary back then, beat Ernesto Hoost anyway. Actually this fight made CC alot more populer. (Unless I'm mistaken he was a bit disliked for ****ing up Sakuraba in the grand prix, which must have been pride, so I think my memory is wrong here)

I think Diaz is just a tough kid. Him being stoned in the fight wouldn't have made a difference. I also think Bob Sapp may be out of his mind. He is a decent boxer, just comes across very odd in interviews.

That is absurd, being high on pot would not dull the pain response of a fractured orbit enough to explain Nicks performance. He is a double tuff kid that wanted to win. I broke my tib/fib in 92 skiing on the Audi/Mount Gay pro mogul tour, high on pot and that s**t hurt like a mofo.

Sapp would get demolished in the UFC by a fast striker.
Wouldn't mind him going for it anyway, just for entertainment purposes.

I dont think so.. he gave big nog a hard fight under MMA rules, and K-1 guys have much better hands than MMA guys and he stood and brawled with the best of them.

What did Sapp weigh in at? I have a strange idea that the pride and k1 heavyweight divisions didn't have a maximum weight, meaning Sapp didn't even have to cut and could walk in at a hydrated 300, unlike Tim who at least has to fool the scales. I would enjoy seeing Sapp, even if he is a can, he's alot bette than some of the cans still in the UFC heavy, which aside from its top guys, Nog, CC, Tim, Randy, AA is still lacking.

Haha, yeah that peach of a left kick to the body didn't help matters either!
An FEC4 asked earlier about Bob Sapp fights... there are a load on Youtube including this fight. I don't usually need to look any further for fight footage.

Didnt PRIDE bring in a Super Heavyweight division? If so wouldn't that mean PRIDE's got a heavyweight weight cap now?
