It's 5$ less and has a better list of fighters then the last few UFC events if you ask me. This will be the first non-UFC card that i have bought since Pride 33. It should be fun too see what Lesnar can do in the ring. I'm wondering who they will put up against Royce. Shields is a real tough guy and i hope they match him up with a decent welterweight. With any luck they will put Ninja Rua on the card and make it completly stacked.
Well The Fight Network will show the undercard in Canada so I will watch that. The actually undercard actually looks amazing for only 3 fights, even though some people are TBA. The fighters announced are all great and I can not wait to see more of Carano, she was nothing but impressive the first time I saw her.
According to the Wrestling Observer, K-1/EliteXC has applied for a license to run their planned 6/2 show in Los Angeles with Brock Lesnar vs. Hong-Man Choi and Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Royce Gracie as the headline bouts. When they applied, one of the bouts submitted to the California State Athletic Commission was a heavyweight match between Josh Barnett vs. Sergei Kharitonov.
Both Barnett and Kharitonov have been with Pride up until now so I was taken for a bit of surprise when hearing the report. Apparently, Barnett's contract with Pride expires at the end of May and there are no more fights left on his deal. The departures of both almost signal an end to the days of Pride's stacked heavyweight division. I'd say they still have Fedor, but do they?
Barnett and Kharitonov may have signed for just one fight, so there's always the chance they could re-sign with Pride after doing the match. But who really knows what will happen in the current environment?
An attempt to reach Barnett last night for comment was not successful.

Interesting...this will be a good fight if it happens. I'll be rooting for Sergei but I think Josh's ground skills will be too much for him. Barnett by decision.

Yeah I agree. Barnettīs ground game is unreal. I canīt wait for him to fight Fedor.

Wow this card keeps looking better and better. Barnett vs. Kharitonov would be HUGE! This card looks about 100x better then anything the UFC is doing in June.
Look for an annoucement tommarrow. Looks like the Barnet/Kharitonov fight was all but a rumor sadly.

-Brock Lesnar vs. Choi Hong-Man
3 Round Fights:
-Mighty Mo vs. Choi Mu Bae

It's a shame we already have an event coming up named "Stacked". I will be ordering this event for sure.

This will be a great card no doubt, dam pity i will have to do all my watching of this a few days later when it becomes available. Very excited to see Ray Sefo and Mighty Mo.
Ricco Rodriguez vs. Antonio Silva this is also rumored but not 100% official.
Little disappointed to see no Tank v Butterbean as i was just curious to see tanks approach to this one after all the abuse he gives fighters who go for subs.
Sherdog confirmed, but had one interesting final note
"Mammoth Brazilian Antonio Silva is also scheduled to be the third bout on the Showtime telecast. While neither FEG nor Pro Elite have formally announced his opponent, Silva revealed that he expects his opponent to be Jonathan Wiezorek."
Also confirmed what most of us guys already knew.. here's hoping all goes well.
"It should be noted that the California State Athletic Commission, which has been noted for stringent provisions in sanctioning mixed martial arts under executive officer Armando Garcia, has requested a full physical examination of Sakuraba.
The mandate was expected, given the 38-year-old Sakuraba's now-infamous fainting spell during training this past September, and the subsequent medical tests that revealed damage to Sakuraba's vertebrobasilar system, preventing proper blood circulation in his head and neck"
I like the fact that both the Brock Lesnar and Royce Gracie's matches are scheduled for 5 five minute rounds instead of three. The only thing though is that a time limit like that usually works against Royce.
Also, has anyone seen the photos of Lesnar's opponent? The guy is freaking huge. He stands about 4 inches taller than Lesnar.
Yeah, Choi is a monsterously tall dude. Kinda makes fighting him in K-1 rules unfair.
. Aside from being KOed by Mighty Mo, hes got the sprawl of a former Ssirum (Korean Wrestling) multiple time champ, decent hands.. not sure about his chin as aside from the KO of Mo and standing with LeBanner, most of his other competition hasent been the hardest so to speak.
Malone had to give up after injuring his own leg on that last kick.. not sure of the extent yet but damn.
K-1's announcement today included the disappointing statement that Javier Vazquez vs. Katsuhiko Nagata and Brad Pickett vs. Hideo Tokoro will not be televised either on Showtime or PPV.
Instead we will get to watch ex-NFLer Johnnie Morton in his MMA debut likely against Bernard Ackah, a Japanese television personality. Damn these freak matches.
Yeah nor will JZ Calvicanti. Don't worry Gygax, odds are I can get my hand on the JPN PPV and you know how big Tokoro and Nagata both are over there, and with JZ being the champ at his weight class you can bet you will see him too.. if not full fights at least 'digests'.
