Sorry for DP, but I hope DREAM starts up a Featherweight tournament. They've got Yamamoto, Tokoro, and probably a host of other good Asian Feather's that I don't know. Maybe they could also lure Jens Pulver out from the WEC.

    3. BJ "The Prodigy" Penn
    4. Forrest Griffin

    I heart DREAM

Memo to all fighters, especially the Diazes: It's not gilly-tine it's gi-a-tine. Gi like the thing you wear when you do ju-jitsu.

"One of the world's top pound-for-pound fighters, Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto (17-1-0, 1 NC) has been taken off the July 21 card. Yamamoto suffered a torn ACL in his training, which resulted in his fight with undefeated up-and-comer Joseph Benavidez (7-0-0) being scrapped. At a press conference earlier today, Yamamoto was in crutches as Dream promoter Keiichi Sasahara announced his removal from the show." Fight Net article

Eff. We get Hunt/Overeem and lose KID. That sucks, I was hyped to see him live for the first time.

So we got 2 days until Caol Uno straps on the LW belt. Is he going to beat Eddie Alvarez or Kawajiri?

    News:

The opponent of Joseph Benavidez and the fight order will be announced tomorrow."

So looks like that fight isn't scrapped totally.

I was pretty depressed about the Yamamoto injury. I'm scared he only has 2-3 good years left and with all this disturbance and disorganization in the MMA world I'm not sure how much of a chance us fans will have to see him. I hope DREAM lasts long enough to get some good fights out of our overseas favorites.

This event really made me wonder why the heck Gomi is still ranked as the number 2 lightweight...
