Thread: Genki vs Yamamoto stopped too early?

I just watched the fight and thought it was stopped way too early. Even Genki had a look of confusion on his face towards the referee. Genki stood up right away and was perfectly fine. Well, K-1 doesn't like Genki too much so I hope he'll head over to Pride and we get to see him and the other top lightweights fight it out.

Oh, I was cheering for Genki though. So I may have a bias.

I don't think you are incorrect. I was rooting for "Kid" and I agree it was stopped too early. Even I was like WTF? You don't have to be a Genki fan to recognize that. I don't get this stoppage though. Yeah Kid rocked him but when Genki was on his back and Kid was raining down on him I noticed there was one punch that caught him hard but nothing that should warrant a stoppage. Genki got screwed in my opinion.

It's really sad that there is no one else interested in Heroes or K1 even. I could count the number of K1 fans here on one hand. You guys really are missing out. It's not that hard to track down if you want to see some good stuff.

I had already talked with danny about it and my views are controversial and I wont want to start any sort of conspiricy or anything.

C'mon Aika this is the perfect place for conspiracies. There's only probably 2 other people who will read this besides Danny and I. I'm a Kid fan and I was against the stoppage. I have heard some theories about Genki and K1 and I'm curious as to what you think.

This one isn't even like other stoppages where I go, "well, yeah that was early, but at least I can see why he stopped it." It's like, Genki falls into guard... fight is called. What the hell?
