I didn't manage to catch all the Liam Harrison fight, but will hopefully get to watch it all soon. I went out to pick my friend up and missed the beginning.

Yeah Aika, this event was insanely long. It was 7am UK time and i was dying slowly and it probably finished at 9am or later? I wouldn't know though because i was fast asleep and had given up,lol.

The Corbett/Sprong fight (stream didn't come back until the end of it) ended with loads of controversy. After Sprong got an 8 count, the ref waved his arm down at his waist as a 'Let's fight' motion, and Sprong was swiftly KTFOed.
I was looking for some stuff yesterday and wasn't able to find much. Anyway, I just watched the Simson vs. Boom Boom fight and during it, The Voice mentioned that controversy with JWP and the Corbett/Spong KO--> NC.

Sounds like it was a very strange event. Did you say fashion shows in btwn fights?

I found some vids a little bit ago from some contender asia fans forum but they're pretty bad...in and out...can't take it. Maybe it was just like your streams. They did list the results though.

The models to quote my friend Brian, "This looks like Hillary Clinton meets Tara Reid meets 1977".

then they had male models and we both decided that it was a good time to go outside for a beer.

Ok.. here is a rough summary.

Amrani was just outclassed vs Kubelin, more apt to go into flurrys of attacks without regard to stamina or accuracy, just hoping for a lucky punch. The advertisements on the mat were quite slippery and the guys were doing the electric slide, making for an interesting ring strategy to AVOID the center, rather than stay there. After this fight the promoters removed all of the ads on the mat.

JWP vs Buakaw, talk about judges favoritism. I had JWP winning 3 rounds, possibly one of those being 10 all.. but you should have heard some of the insane scores the Thai judges were calling out!

Brown vs Kaennorsing was a battle of attrition.. Brown got knocked down in round 2 but managed to come ahead every round after that, with the 3rd round being a possible 10 all or a 10-9 to Kaennorsing. My card had this one as a straight draw after 5 rounds, but the judges saw it a Brown victory. Easily one of the most technical and entertaining fights of the night.. who thought an aging Kaoklai, on a 1-6 skid lately, could provide that kind of fury and power against one of the top fighters in Muay Thai right now in Brown?

Stream went out during Corbett/Sprong, only to come back on during the controversy afterwards. Let's just say the WMC were a bunch of idiots and the ref in charge made a bad move and they tried to blame it on Corbett, scuffle after the bout notwithstanding.

Ekkelboom vs Simson was at a decent pace when Ekkelboom threw a blow that Simson checked with his arm, either breaking it or knocking it out of socket.

Kaewsamrit vs Harrison was all of the fireworks I expected, but very one sided. Harrison didn't make weight so even if he won the belt wouldn't be his.. but he basically got tossed around like a rag doll for 4 rounds before the fight ended by TKO.

Yodsaenklai vs Cosmo Alexandre.. stream cut out, but I found it online later. Alexandre, a late replacement with a pretty big name fighting in the "It's Showtime" circuit in Holland really looked on paper to give Yod a hard time, but he proceeded to do jack **** for 4 rounds. Talk about dissapointment. Don't know if it was due to the short notice, lack of training or what.

I didn't see any of the other fights live as the stream was dead and it was already 2:30AM (the event started late, at 9PM instead of 8PM, and was shoddily managed in regard to timing) but I did catch the Quarterton/Slowinski fight the next day when gofightlive.tv uploaded it. Quarterton was thoroughly unimpressive.

The event was pretty good, but the stream was **** and I got my money back, and I won't be ordering another internet PPV from gofightlive.tv anytime soon.

I finally got to see the whole Liam Harrison fight (cheers Aika)and was sooooooo disappointed. I haven't seen him fight that bad ever! He is the best in the UK and arguably Europe at his weight class.

I spoke to my instructor(Kru Pierre Mahon) and he has actually spoken to Liam tonight.

Liam apparently said "the first proper kick that landed disabled his leg and he couldn't stand strongly on it"

Even with him losing, i expected more of a war! Liam has fought two of the best P4P Thai fighters in a few months with Sanchai and Anawat. Back to the drawing board for now i guess.

I'll have all of the fights minus the Sprong fight up in a little bit.

JWP got kind of screwed in my opinion. Did any of you others have an issue with the way this bout was scored?

Top 10: Miguel Torres, Nick and Nate Diaz, Demian Maia, Cain Velasquez, Jeremy Horn, Dan Henderson, Jon Fitch, Kenny Florian, Trevor Prangley

Aika, you really think Clifton Brown is one of the best MT fighters in the world?
