Newbie...
I am new here and to this whole fighting world. I am in Kempo and Tai Kwan Do and want a future career in the UFC (blame Tito lol). What do I need to do to get started?

Hey TOF. Are there any competitive fighters training at your gym? Does your gym send people to any kind of tournaments? If so, work towards that. Talk to your kickboxing coach and tell him you want to get into competition. I'm always amazed by people who say they want to compete in pro MMA but they don't have the stones to even enter any kind of amateur competition. I'm not accusing you of that, I'm just saying those guys are out there and you should learn from their hypocrisy.
Oh -- and try to get into a class for grappling and takedowns: Judo, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, etc.

I used to take tai kwon do but I am in kempo now. Grappling and kick boxing is the way to go? I will ask around at my dojo for now, I am sure they know something. I want to enter in as a novice in the grapplers quest. My freind says they scout there.
