Default A very late update on the Fight Network Party

...a very very belated report.

For those who don't know, I won tickets of MMA Weekly Radio to the Fight Network kick off party in Toronto. It was freaking amazing. Me and my friend had VIP tickets and so had free drinks all night and got into the two VIP rooms that were set up.

Frank Trigg is the nicest guy ever. Had a drink with him and he introduced me to some of his friends. Talked to The Iceman for alittle bit but as you can imagine he was mobbed most of the night. I'm sitting at the bar at one point talking to Carlos Newton and Cung Lee comes up and starts saying how crowded it was at the bar.... It was freaking rediculous. All of this of course was completely lost on my friend who doesn't follow the sport.

The boxing and Muay Thai matches were very good. The TNA wrestling was lame except it was cool to watch a guy get thrown through a table. There were no commentators so it was like the old KOTC matches where you just hear muffled thuds...

All in all a very surreal memorable night. Sorry for the delay

Yeah, I remember hearing about you winning tickets. I think that was back when my post count was under 200. Here I am awake late a night, listining to irish music, and surfing the internet and I come accrost this and think to myself: 'Did you casually say that you were sitting at a bar with Carlos Newton? And then Cung Lee comes up?'

Man today they just had a WWE event in lewiston and my mother's boyfriend's son is still into that stuff so we all went to it. Ha, man that sucked compaired to what you went to.

I have yet to go to a live fight and it is something I hope to do soon. All I have to look forward to tomarrow (or is it today now?) is getting another sweater for the faimly christmas in New Hampshire.

It took every ounce of strength to keep myself composed and not have a huge stupid grin on my face the whole night....not to mention the droves of amazingly hott girls....who I used my VIP status to get free drinks for

Man, any day but today (or yesterday) I would have said good for you, Drumz, or Hope you had fun. But today you are just making me feel (to put it lightly) mountians of envy.

Dude that is awesome!!! I wish I could have been there too. I'm very jealous but happy that someone got to experience it.

Did Carlos say anything about fighting again?

I envy your experience also. I've never been to any events either, other than High School wrestling matches and "Professional Wrestling" when I was a kid. That had to be awesome to experience. I'd have been taking some pics with them like a geek or something!

I probably would have but I didn't have a camera with me. Newton didn't mention anything about fighting but somebody else mentioned something about him fighting again soon.
