Frank was a excellent fighter.. I wouldn´t call him the "best" but he was a excellent fighter. Since he dosen´t fight anymore.. he can´t be called no.1 either.

Somebody, I am not going to name names... just sent me a message saying. Frank just fought in WEC: Return of the Legend and beat some giant in 45 seconds.
Well to clarify the matter.. WEC 6: Return of the Legend was 2!!! years ago.. not "JUST NOW" and he didn´t beat Bryan Pardoe (who is not a giant, just very muscular) in 45 seconds, he beat him in 1 Minute 46 Seconds..
Just to clarify.. Frank hasn´t fought in 2 years and 4 months.

Wasn't there some talk about him fighting a Gracie sometime in the near future?
I tried to get on his website but it seems to be having issues today.

Frank Shamrock is taking on a grudge match against Cesar Gracie on October 1st. Cesar has been trashing and challenging Shamrock for years as they have competing facilities in northern California. They have come close to setting up a fight for a few years but it always fell through. Now its set for San Jose in the first sanctioned MMA fight in CA.
Though Cesar has no official MMA fights under his belt, he is pretty accomplished and the trainer for David Terrell and Nick Diaz.

Frank was good, but not the best. Besides, Bas KO'ed him in KOTC. That's who I'd like to see come back and fight...though I doubt it will ever happen.

KOTC = King of the Cage?
I didn't know that. I know Bas had the TKO from that cut he got on Shamrocks left eye.
I would LOVE to see Bas fighting again.

I'm pretty sure that Frank never fought Rutten in KOTC. All 3 Shamrock-Rutten fights were in Pancrase. Shamrock won the first by majority decision, lost the second by split decision, and lost the third due to the aforementioned cut. The KOTC database never shows Shamrock fighting there. In fact, though Rutten promoted KOTC, he never fought there. He was almost always strictly a Pancrase guy.

One was King of Pancrase..the first one, then Pancrase 1995 Neo Blood Tournament and the last fight between them was Pancrase - Truth 5.
