Sorry if this is a repost....

But i just found out about Joe Riggs.....

Joe Riggs had to pull out of UFN 7 (Shamrock VS Ortiz)

Joe buried his baby girl last month and his wife was rushed into emergency surgery this evening, according to one of his friends who posted a message from Joe on the mma.tv board.

well wishes and sympathy to Joe and his family. I could imagine losing a baby, especially now with a 15 mo. old.

Can you give some solid source on this? I don't want to question you but I find it hard to believe everyone wouldn't be talking about this. I hope this isn't true though because that is horrible if it is.

I did a few searches and came up blank.

We need to confirm this, otherwise it is just rumor.

If it is true, then all our prayers should be with Joe Riggs and his wife. No parent should have to burry their child. And, losing a child is terrible enough, I hope that Riggs' wife is not in danger...

Here is the thread from UG. It's not anything official yet but it sure does seem it may be true. If so I will be praying for Riggs. I can't even imagine how horrible that would be to go through.

I just got off the phone with Riggs... he wanted to thank everyone for their support and prayers. His wife underwent succesful surgery yesterday and is at home recovering. In the next few days they plan on taking a trip to Cali to get away for a little bit and relax.
Joe wanted me to let everyone know that he will be back soon and that he appreciates everyone's thoughts.

Default Condolences to Joe Riggs and family

Source: Cindy Ortiz

Joe Riggs had to pull out of UFN 7 (Shamrock VS Ortiz) and some MMA message boards have comments posted that are quite insensitive surrounding his decision.

Joe buried his baby girl last month and his wife was rushed into emergency surgery this evening, according to one of his friends who posted a message from Joe on the mma.tv board.

Whether you are a fan of Joe's or not, he and his family sure could use our thoughts and prayers at this time. Thanks...

Cindy

My daughter had serious heart trouble as a child, and I can't even think of a word to describe how I would have felt if we had lost her. Everything else pales in comparison. My deepest condolences to Joe and his family.
