Awesome! I have Versus but only watch it when they have a boxing special on.

I wish I got VS, but as big of an NHL and MMA fan I am, I can't justify upgrading to the premium Dish Network programming package for just one channel.

I just discovered that I get Versus, lol. I had not looked for it before, but it's on my cable system. So, I am glad that WEC is on a channel that I my cable company actually carries. We do not get the Fight network.

Yeah, you're right. I did not notice that before. The outdoor network was channel 34 here in SE VA. Now, channel 34 is Versus. They have tons of yacht racing scheduled, lol. Seems like a weird combo to me, yachts and MMA.

Bah, relatives are up at the house for a few days, I have a little cousin following me around, so I have to keep changing the channel everytime he comes into the room. I hope he finds something to entertain himself with before the actual event starts, I can bear missing bits and pieces of this wreckage show.

I was happy with the WEC night of MMA on Versus. The WEC WrekCAGE show was cool. The WEC two hour show was cool. I liked the fights. I even stayed up and watched Tap Out. That was a good show. I liked it. Over all the production quality of the WEC shows was right up there with the UFC (I guess maybe because the UFC bought the WEC and spent some money on production). I hope that the WEC keeps that weekly Wednesday time slot and shows live fights every week. THAT is what I wanted the UFC to do, and maybe they are doing that through the WEC. BTW, I thought that Frank Mir did a good job as the WEC commentator.

FYI, VS wasn't derived from the Outdoor channel, it was derived from OLN (Outdoor Life Network). The Outdoor channel still exists.
Anyway, I thought the shows were very good indeed. And seeing them in High Definition was also a huge plus. They looked a hell of a lot better than any other non-PPV ufc shows. Spike needs to step up and go HD because the WEC looked kick-ass last night. The new WEC cage looked great. Glad it's not that stupid looking pentagon any more. Mir wasn't too bad at color as he spent a lot of time explaining what the fighters were trying to do during submission attempts.
Nice touch being sponsered by Toshiba HD-DVD Can't wait until the next event.

Yeah, OLN. Either way, I never watched either channel until I heard of Versus, LOL. Also, on a side note, the WCL also has shows on Versus. That is the Chuck Norris team kickboxing promotion that we heard about a while back. I watched the WCL. It's not that bad. The fights were good (not MMA good, IMO, but good kickboxing). The production values were very high.

Yeah I've watched some WCL fights and if they are anything they are certainly fast paced. Those fighters needs to have exceptional cardio because if you don't throw a kick or a punch in what seems like 5 seconds the ref will be warning you or taking points away. Also never been crazy about watching chicks fighting. Unless they are ripping each others shirts off. lol
Not my favorite type of fighting since there are no takedowns or subs but worth watching if you need a combat fix.

Yea i know but i jsut got confused because VS was OLN and the outdoor channel is still 72 but same thing. VS used to be an outdoor type channel is that better for you.
Who was that one guy that one by submission but kept shooting in with sloppy half hearted shots? He made me so mad that he won because his shots made him look like he really didnt want it.
