Default The Contender - Muay Thai

Was browsing youtube earlier looking for some more of Ole Laursons fights and I came across this video.. thinking it was a hoax (but a very well done mashup) I googled around and it turns out that they did have a Muay Thai Contender in the works and I found an article from Variety from November 2006 but not much else.. guess it didn't make it to Western audiences after all..

Anyhow, check this out. Wish I knew where to watch this. Aika loves his Muay Thai

This would have been an amazing idea. It would allow them to produce a show that could cash in on MMA's popularity while still remaining distinct from TUF to avoid getting sued.

Speaking of reality TV, I was recently reading a string of interviews in a magazine with a bunch of the Chute Boxe and BTT dudes, and there was mention of an MMA reality show on Brazilian TV called "Passing the Guard." Anyone know anything about it?

I'd watch it, and I'm willing to bet other people would check it out as well, it would be a refreshing change from TUF which is quickly getting stale, IMO
