Josh Barnett set to fight Sept 8th
Hopefully this is just a 1 fight deal

Valor's Sylvester Terkay to face Josh Barnett at IGF September 8
Valor Fighting and Management (VFM) is proud to announce that VFM has secured a booking for client Sylvester "Predator" Terkay to perform at Antonio Inoki's upcoming IGF event in Nagoya, Japan on September 8. Terkay was a NCAA National Heavyweight Wrestling Champion while competing for North Carolina St. He also became a professional wrestling star in the US and Japan before making waves as a dominant fighter in K-1. Terkay won his K-1 debut in just 13 seconds, knocking out Mauricio da Silva. Other K-1 wins include victories over Choi Mu-bae and Kristof Midoux. The match with Josh "The Babyface Assassin" Barnett who has wins over the likes of current UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture, Dan "The Beast" Severn and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira should be very physical and entertaining.

Dude, IGF (Inoki Genome Federation) is Puroresu, not real fighting. Barnett has already done one match for them v Tadao Yasuda in June of this year.

Terkay had been doing pro-wrestling in the WWE. He dropped off the WWE radar a few months ago. I guess he went to Japan. Terkay has fought in real MMA matches as well. He was 3-1 in K-1 MMA with that one loss coming from Gary Goodridge. Terkay fought once on 2003, twice in 2004, and once in 2005 before heading into pro-wrestling.

He also played sacrificial lamb in K-1 kickboxing, losing to both Remy Bonjasky and Hong-Man Choi, but he held both to a decision. |
