Default New Rumor; Fedor vs Yvel WTF?!?!?!

I did a search for this topic and nothing came up, so I'm hoping that this isn't a repeat. I also don't really know where to put this and have no idea how much merit it has...But in this vid of Mirko training w/Yvel, Lister & Bonjasky....@ about 2:40 or so, Yvel says his next opponent will likely be Fedor in Oct, in Canada...most likely on a BoDog card.
Gilbert Yvel comment

Fedor is one of my alltime favs....but this really makes no freakin sense to me at all. Whether it's about money, protecting his record or just a tune up before heading somewhere else.....it's just damn stupid. WTF will he prove by beating Yvel and what the hell does he do if he somehow "doesn't win".
I know that Dana said he would go straight to a title shot, so maybe he needs a tuneup after not being on the big stage for a while now. But I don't like this scenario at all. It prove nothing at all and is more risk than it's worth, IMO.

Although it is a large mis-match I love seeing Yvel getting beat down. He is the most disrespectful fighter in history and he makes a bad name for the sport of MMA.

LOL...Won't argue that point at all! Just don't see the real benefit for Fedor's career overall vs the risk involved at this point in it.

There could be absolutely nothing to this. I'm sure that every single "free agent" or even semi-free agent is trying to book something with Fedor, knowing that it could instantly put them on the map if they even just show well against him. This comes from Yvel's side not Fedor's obviously...so he could just be talking sh*t hoping that something will come of it.

Just thought that it was interesting and semi-disappointing if there is merit to it.

After reading tons of Fedor inter. I know the guy wants to beat them all.
Thats why he wanted to go for Josh 2.
He loves to compete and he wants to fight all the best.
Now he allso need to fight a match soon. Maybe this will be hes next fight?

I respect Fedor so much. He do not sign in cus of hes own sport in Rus. He is happy with the money from UFC but everything is not about money in life.

He got the kind of attitude you want youre hero to have.
He never dodged anyone and he is happy to meet whoever want to have a go.
I dont think he is so worried about loosing tbh, he knows it will happend one day anyway. He have lost in sambo fighting before anyway, he know it can happend anytime.
