Default Ricco vs Rothwell at IFL Finals

Various media outlets have confirmed that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Ricco Rodriquez has accepted a fight against Ben Rothwell. Ricco will be an injury replacement for Renzo Gracie's NY Pitbulls when they faceoff in the IFL Finals against Pat Miletich's Silverbacks this Thursday night in Hollywood, Florida. Ricco is said to be weighing around 250lbs which would signify as massive weight loss from the 350lbs he was tipping the scales at last year. He just finished taping a new "rehab" reality TV show for VH1 and is sober/drug free for the first time in years. When healthy and in shape, Ricco was a beast with BJJ black belt credentials. Though I can't imagine his shape can be that good this close to fight time, it will be interesting to see how he shows up against the explosive Ben Rothwell.

Thanks for the news-I definitely will be tuning in just to see this fight!
I got my fingers crossed Ricco is on the way back up from his downward spiral. He still has the skill set and can be a real threat to any HW if he can get his body and cardio back in order...

It's been confirmed on all the sites including IFL.TV, so it's on for sure! I'm looking forward to it for sure. If Ricco wins, it will show how far he has come over the past few years. If Rothwell wins, it will undoubtedly be the biggest of his career. It sounds like a win-win fight for the fans either way.
