After a worldwide search for a highly acclaimed opponent to battle Britain’s lightweight sensation Abdul Mohamed in the headline bout at next month’s Ultimate Force card in Doncaster, the North England-based promotion have announced a major coup in landing PRIDE veteran David Baron.
The mouth-watering clash will take centre stage at Ultimate Force’s seventh instalment – “2 Tuff 2 Tap” -- on October 20 at the Doncaster Dome.
Mohamed, the reigning Cage Rage British lightweight champion, has exhausted the domestic scene’s 155-pound offerings and stood up to the test with only one career loss coming against his British compatriots, a 2004 defeat to Sami Berik, which he has since avenged.
In order to remain active and to face fresh opposition, the popular grappler has flirted with the welterweight division and recorded a spectacular KO victory over The Ultimate Fighter 3’s Ross Pointon.
