Gilbert Melendez had an impressive showing at the Playboy Mansion event with his decisive unanimous decision victory over veteran Shooto fighter Tetsuji Kato. Melendez won the fight while battling the final two rounds with an injured hand. With the win, he remained undefeated and positioned himself at the top of the food chain in Strikeforce’s lightweight division.
