Steve Gamble is a heavyweight who will be fighting on the King of the Cage: Bad Boys card on November 21 in Michigan. MMA Madness’ youth correspondent MMA Brat caught up with Gamble a couple of weeks ago. Here are the highlights of the interview.
MMA Madness: Who are you fighting, and what do you think of his fighting style?
Gamble: John Spears and I’m not really sure about his fighting style. I hear he's kind of unorthodox as a fighter...So I’m not really sure what to expect...
MMA Madness: I remember seeing a bulletin a while back that you had just been signed to KOTC. How much did that change your life and did you change camps for the stiffer competition?
Gamble: It's changed my life in a few ways really. One, I have become more aware of everything I do in the gym and outside -- it's almost like building a car, every little thing you do can affect the outcome. Do the wrong thing, and you can affect the performance. I’m always looking for a harder way to train…Wake up, Muay Thai, lunch, BJJ, dinner , weight train, before bed snack and run...I’m never gonna change who I am for any of my competition, I’m just going to train harder than I believe they are.
