this is about as exciting as roy jones jr vs trinidad to me.... both could be great in the future, but havent shown much in a long time now... i dont even think cro cop deserves a fedor fight.... and fedor needs to fight a top 5 HW

do you believe Crocop is a TOP 5 HW at this present time though?

not a chance.... i love watching crocop fight, but he lost 2 out of 3 fights to average heavyweights... his only win was against a noname... id say he has to be top 10 at around 8 or something just based on his name and past, but top 5? cant say that till he shows SOMETHING...
on the other end, fedor HAS to fight a top 5... i wouldnt feel outraged by this fight if it takes place, but every one of fedors next 10 fights or however many he has should be against a top 5 or at least top 10 |

Sans Josh Barnett, all of the top 5 guys are in the UFC. That logic won't work out since Dana thinks Fedor isnt worth a damn.

true.... point being fedor fighting guys like he has been is unacceptable.. he needs to be fighting the best available top of the line HW, that are all around fighters... not just a striker that he can easily take down and submit |

This isn't a very compeling fight to me
In 2006 hell yea I'd love to see this fight but now, Cro Cop needs some serious wins to make this worthwhile.
Beating Barnett a 4th time doesn't count.

i wouldnt say that gonzaga or kongo are average heavyweights. ive been saying it forever and even though i was shocked at his werdum fight, i still think that gonzaga will eventually be the champ.
i agree fedor should be fighting better opponents, but he cant really fight a top 5 fighter every fight. a) you cant just fight top 5 fighters, because youll run out of fights and b) M1 doesnt have many top 10 fighters
other than randy or barnett, cro cop is probably the best match up for fedor right now |
