Cyborg hit a VICIOUS leg kick. Seriously a ridiculous strike.
Bang was bleeding like a pig.
Fun show for what it was.

Nice! Happy to see Barnett doing his thing, and a heel hook by Cyborg!? Thanks for posting.

I wish Gomi/Ludwig could have went longer....I think it was going to be a great standup war.

Here's a couple of posts from Nick Thompson (from the UG) about his experiences at Sengoku, thought you guys might find it interesting:
Quote:
I just got back to the hotel room. SENGOKU was the event of a lifetime! They were true to everything they told me and the production was awesome. When I first started fighting, the first pay-per-view I bought was a Pride event. Since then, it had always been a dream to fight in an event like tonight.
As to my fight, Pitbull was much tougher than I expected. He really frustrated me whenever I would get something going. I have a lot of respect for him and wish him the best of luck in his next fight.
I know some people thought Pitbull won the fight and I understand why. Pitbull controlled position throughout the fight. However, damage is scored first and I have no doubt that I caused more damage - this is a fight not a wrestling match. I am not satisfied with my performance but part of being a champion finding a way to win when you are not feeling at your best. I am determined to get back in the gym and correct the mistakes I made so that my next fight does not go to the judges. Thanks for the support and I will now try for 12 straight wins & 2 years w/o a loss.

Fighting over there was one of the coolest things I have ever done. The fans are great. They are quiet and then will cheer for a sweep and then are quiet again. They are actually watching instead of getting drunk and yelling "rip his head off"
It was also cool to fight in the stadium. It is the famouse Japanese stadium that is shaped like a sailboat. I think it holds something like 20k and seemed full.
Lastly, it was really cool to be involved in that kind of production value. It was like old school pride with the elevators, ramps, screens, fireworks, etc. It was bad ass and I can't wait to go back!

IronLung, I understand your opinion. I need to watch the fight before I am able to make more informed comments.
With that being said, I fully understand that Pitbull controlled position. I whole heartedly disagree, however, that he did more damage. He had a nice flurry from mount to end the first but other than that, I landed every single big punch. There were fewer of them than I would have liked thanks Pitbull's excellent jiu-jitsu by Pitbull but at the end of the day, I feel that I landed every damage inflicting shot.
Hopefully you enjoyed the fight either way and all i can really tell you is that I am going back to the gym as soon as we land and I will work on improving the many mistakes I made. There is no way my next fight goes to the judges.
Nick

Misaki really fell in love with that Kimura didn't he? Whats up with the corner sticking that dildo in his eye in between rounds? Just kidding.
Barnett looked like he was in ther with an old friend, having a good time. Anyone else notice him and Yoshida laughing and talking after that suplex? It must be nice to love your job that much LOL.
