Filho vs Sonnen Scratched from March 26 WEC Event
A March 26 headline fight between WEC middleweight champion Paulo Filho (16-0) and Chael Sonnen (19-9-1) has been scratched from WEC 33.
The report comes from the Brazilian MMA site Tatame.com.
A message MMAjunkie.com left with the WEC on Wednesday wasn't returned. Additionally, as of today, the Filho vs. Sonnen fight is still advertised on WEC.tv.
According to the Tatame report, the fight will instead take place at WEC 34 on June 1 in Sacramento, Calif. That event is headlined by a bout between WEC featherweight champ Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver.
The Filho-Sonnen bout was delayed, according to the report, because Filho had lost his motivation to train.

Just read this, Stupid reason to drop a fight. I'm surprised that they would reschedule a fight for something like this.

WEC should be pissed, he is their belt holder. I understand depression but if it is that bad he shouldn't be fighting and either way they should strip him.
