Default 30-25 scorecard?

After watching the Sonnen/Baker match for the first time I saw a 30-25 scoring, two actually... has that ever even happened before? I know the guys on FF are a lot more educated with MMA then I am so I know someone's seen it on here before lol.

There was a fight in the UFC in 2006, I believe it was Forrest Petz vs. Sam Morgan. I think one of the judges scored the fight like 30-23 or something like that, and gave the round to Petz 10-3 or 10-4 or something ridiculous like that.

Yeah, the 30-25 was funny to hear but I do think that scoring was spot on.

That Baker can take some shots. Sonnen was humble in victory - and did give Baker props in saying he has a bright future and how he was happy to face him in the early part of his career.

Two 10/8 rounds and one 10/9 round.

It was somewhat accurate. Baker could not get off his back.
However, I don't think Sonnen was able to do that much damage.
I would've scored it 30/27

I think the 30-25 was justified. In rounds 2 and 3 Baker did absolutly nothing. Sonnen came out, took him down at will and pounded on him for 5 mins. Baker was completely outclassed on the ground and didn't know what to do.

The really funny thing is 1 judge scores it 30-25 and another scores it 29-28?

What the hell is that?

You're thinking of a different fight.

The Crunkilton-Gomez fight was scored 30-26, 30-27 and 29-28. Sonnen-Baker was 30-25, 30-25, and 30-26.

Your right my bad.

Another thing is the kid I was watching this with drunkenly said "if I ever saw a 30-25 fight it was this one" and I mocked him endlessly for 4 minutes or so.

I think you still gotta give props for Baker for even taking this fight. Sonnan is no joke and taking a huge fight like this on about 3 weeks notice is a ballsy move. Hopefully they give the kid a guy he can beat the crap out of in his next fight.

No problem.

You are right, Baker deserves a ton of credit for putting an undefeated record on the line in stepping in on short notice with a vet with the talent of Chael Sonnen.

Bastard! You found me out!

Its more like my brain gets filled with so much inconsequential crap, like scorecards from fights, that I sometimes feel like a robot.
