Nope, all his fights in the IFL were Light Heavyweight. He competed on TUF as a heavyweight, as did Rashad Evans, but both dropped down after the show. He's fought a few at heavyweight depending on the opponent, but mostly at 205.

If this is true I am pumped. Rothwell will finally be tested and we will get to see if he is a legitimate top 10 HW. Although one of my favourites, I think Rizzo will be in trouble with Barnett.

Oh yeah...I'm glad to see Rothwell getting a tough test. I think he'll be up for it. It's been a while since we've seen him fight though.

Hey thanks for the info, Rumbin.

Whitehead had better be careful about talking too much trash or Babalu will put him to sleep! I agree with everyone here, I think, in that I am excited to see Rothwell put to the test. Has anyone seen him defend a leg lock before? He'd better make sure that he prepares for that fighting Arlovski! Anyone seeing Rothwell winning? I would prefer to have seen Barnett vs. Aleksander... any word on if/who he is fighting? I know he's planning to fight May 10 in England but I was hoping to have an "All in the Family" night. Maybe that will have to wait until the 3rd Emelianenko (sp) is ready for the big time (am I hallucinating? There is another brother right?).

Yeah, they do have a younger brother, I think his name is Ivan.

With the felony conviction on his record, Aleksander Emelianenko will likely never be allowed to get a work visa to fight in the US. He can fight overseas and in Canada, but when he applied for a work visa to the US to fight in Pride Real Deal, he was denied due to that conviction in Russia. I've had some problems getting a confirmation of what the conviction was, but that was the reason why he was left off that card.

According to Wikipedia.......

Aleksander Emelianenko - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In an interview, his brother Fedor confirmed Aleksander spent time in a prison for robbery was true. Aleksander was sentenced to 5 years but was released after 3.5 years.[3]

I understand this is not necessarily 100% to be trusted as accurate. I am unable to read Russian so the link to Fedor's Interview was of no real help to me.

I had heard it was grand theft auto. Odd- he can't fight here, but guys with criminal records are allowed to join the military now. Thanks for the knowledge tho!

Wow ! I don't see Ben winning but we know he will trade strikes.
Not big on Whitehead, he got a CHEAP win over Vernon White in the IFL.
Rizzo / Barnett, this one wont' last long..

Hope this happens...

Arlovski just has zero appeal for me anymore. He fought with no tenacity in his last 3 fights. I think Rogan is dead on when he says he is mentally broken down.

Wow, I was planning on going just by hearing it was Fedor/Sylvia....because I live so close to Dallas....but if this is actually half of what the card turns out to be it will be a great first MMA event to go too.

I hope this card happens!

Rothwell v Arlovski will be a good fight, will be interesting to see how Ben does against top competition. Ok, Ricco was a good test but I dont think he pushed him like AA should.

I think the Barnett v Rizzo rematch will be different to their first fight, unless of course Josh decides to stand with Pedro for the whole fight. I think Josh will take him down late in the first round and secure a submission.

Not sure what to think about the Whitehead v Babalu fight, havent really seen to much of Mike since TUF2, apart from the Kerr fight. I guess he has some power tho, so he could always clip Babalu like Lambert did. I'll be rooting for Babalu tho!
