Default *SPOILER*Yamma Pitt Fighting April 11th*SPOILER*

Travis Wiuff vs. Marcelo Pereira
Chris Tuscherer vs. Tony Sylvester
Sherman Pendergarst vs. Alexey Oleinik

I have the winners in bold who have fought so far. Ricco is fighting right now. Nothing too exciting thus far.

Stoppages or decisions? How's the pit affecting the fighters?

Ricco Rodriguez vs. George Bush

Ricco dominated the match and won by decision. He should have no issues winning this tournament.

As far as the other three fights, two won by decision. Tuscherer, and Wiuff. Both won basically by getting the take downs and just staying busy in the top position. It's only a five minute round, so you have to make a point quick. Oleinik won by submission(choke) but he really didn't have a choke, it looked more like shoulder pressure from in the half guard. It wasn't a arm triangle or anything.

The different style cage really hasn't affected any of the fights so far, but it definately makes it tough to sprawl when close to the cage.

First off, I appreciate the updates Take. Thanks.

How does the production look for Yamma?

For the most part, the pit is favoring the stronger fighter?

Oleg Taktarov vs. Mark Kerr

Wow, drugs sure did a number on Kerr! Kerr was pretty much doing what he wanted to w/ Oleg, but then got caught in a knee bar.

The production is ok, not sure if it's really worth 35$...lol. The crowd really isn't into the event, and the announcers could use a bit more knowledge of the sport. As far as the stronger opponent winning, yes definately. The five minute time limit makes it kind of tough because if they get the take down they can win easily. I will say the ref. is doing a great job of standing them up if there is no action on the ground. The shape of the pit makes it more like a ring. It would affect someone like Randy who likes to clinch and dirty box against the cage. And no problem, I wanted to do this so everyone could get an idea of how it went.

Yeah, I was going to say something about him but forgot! That dude sounds like Krusty to Clown, but I like him. He's pretty funny when he is announcing the fighters.

Chris Tuscherer vs. Alexey Oleinik

Tuscherer dominated the fight w/ ground and pound. He was very active in the top position and was much bigger than Oleinik. He played the typical wrestler in MMA. Oleinik had a very active guard but was too small to hold off the wrestler.

Travis Wiuff vs. Ricco Rodriguez

This was a shock... Wiuff was able to score two take downs during the five minute round and scored the decision. Ricco's guard was good, and he didn't take any damage but lost because of the take downs. Another thing that this "pit" henders is a fighter being to walk himself up the cage from his guard to stand back up. This was Wiuff's 49th win as a proffesional(including a KO win over Keith Jardine according to the announcers) so he seems pretty legit.

Funny. I figured they would have put Wiuff and Ricco in opposite semifinal matches.

BTW, thanks takeAnap for keeping us up on the action.

Wiuff's had his moments. Let's see if he can get it done against Tuscherer.

Good point. Maybe Yamma wants to promote Tuscherer a little. ??

Yeah, I was hoping to see Ricco win. I think if it had been three rounds then Ricco would have won. He wasn't gassed at all tonight. Smith and Butterbean are up next.

Patrick Smith vs. Eric ” Butterbean” Esch

Wow, Smith owned Butterbean!!! Started w/ leg kicks and then rocked him w/ a right hand that dropped the Bean. Then he punched and elbowed until Butterbean verbally tapped. Fight of night so far!

Travis Wiuff vs. Chris Tuscherer

The main event was a pretty good fight. Both fighters were game, w/ Wiuff dominating the first round and nearly ended the fight w/ two big right hands followed by some good GnP. Tuscherer showed a good chin though and stayed in the fight.

The second round didn't have a whole lot of action. Wiuff had a take down but besides that not much happened. They spent most of the round on their feet.

The final round was good w/ each fighter exchanging good punches. Tuscherer showed heart and rocked Wiuff w/ about 40 seconds left and was trying to finish the fight until Wiuff scored another takedown and scored a unanimous decision.

Overall, the ppv was decent. I thought it was pretty good. I don't know if I like the whole "pit" thing, but still I won't complain. Was nice to see Kerr fight again, and I always enjoy seeing Ricco in action.

Wow! All I saw was the Kerr fight. Kerr looked like he has been training in a bar. If they didn't specify that he was in the white trunks I wouldn't have recognized him. From what I read from sherdog alot of the guys looked way out of shape.

How was scotty on the commentor side? The guys on sherdog seemed to think very low of him, but they also seemed to have never heard him before. Any one on here watch the ppv and actually listen to scotty on howard 101? If so what did you all think of him. I think he is funny as hell but I didn't see the ppv. Did his style translate?

Chris Tuscherer holds wins over Mayhem and Travis Fulton, I was kinda expecting him to win but Wiuff beat Jardine so no surprise there lol.

I watched it on a buddy's F2A and omfg. This has to be the worst MMA event I have ever seen in my life. We couldn't even stand to watch it past the Wiuff/Ricco fight.

First, the announcer, are they frickin' serious????? I honestly had to change the channel each time he was on. "He's pacing like he hasn't eaten in a week". WTF?!? It sounded like he had just swallowed a package of razor blades, they were joking having him on there, right?

The cage is absolutely retarded. You don't want clinching against the fence? How about just pushing your opponent back until he trips on the elevated part? That happened several times last night. Also, it looked so awkward for the guy on the bottom to do anything at all being at that weird slope.

The commentators were garbage, the fights were pitifully boring (LnP ftl), the production looked like a 12th grade class project, the cage is just a bad, bad idea, and my God that announcer was horrendous. I feel violated for even watching as much of the show as I did. I can't get over how bad it was.

It was a joke, right?
