Funny, It reminded me of the A.Silva when I saw it. Maybe Silva might incorporate these tecniques in his upcoming fights.

An elbow like that can be brutal, you almost think they should have pads or wrap them up a little.

Aren't spinning elbows illegal? At least in UFC? They certainly should be. They are a very dangerous technique.

I often wonder what possessed him to try that move. I mean it worked, but it's just counter-intuitive to what you'd normally do with your elbow.

I like elbows, but I hate the (fight-ending) cuts they cause. I've often wondered what would be the minimal amount of padding they could add without hindering movement or creating an illegal handle during grappling. The main thing is just dulling that sharp bone in the elbow.

muay thai is all about the cutting power of the elbow, no pads on knees, no pads on elbows, let the blood flow.

flying knee
flying elbow
spinning elbow

Nice!
I am a fan of elbows.
It sucks when a cut stops a fight, but in my book, you gotta have elbows.

Notice how fast that happened secondary to a few kicks and etc?

Man, that was sweet. I wanna see that in MMA

That was a sick elbow and so was Silva's.
Good question dsver1. Who knows where his ideas come from. He is very crafty and i'm sure we will see more of those in the future.
