dont no about the crossed arm thing, but the whole my hand is a telephone everyone does.....just kinda means look at me i am cool. well i think anyway, as far as i know it does not have any profound meaning

Seems to be taking the sports world by storm. As for meaning i dont know. I think its gone the way of the ROCK ON sign. It once ment something now people just do it for the sake of it. For me thats how i tell people they have a telephone call.

i personally know something similar as a drinking gesture (imitating the use of a glass). good to know that its a riddle to other people too.

Its a Hawaiian surfer gesture, meant to say hang loose, cool, etc. Its a sign of friendship in the Islands. Its very prevalent when I was there a few years ago.
