Dream Forum?
Can a Dream Forum Be added, or at least merged with the EliteXC forum since they are now co-promoting?

Dream threads should be posted in the K-1 forum. Maybe renaming that forum to K-1 & Dream would make it easier for members to start threads in the correct location.

Yeah, but still. Dream is MMA,and K-1 isn't.. So it would make more sence to put it in there with EliteXc. |

K-1 owns DREAM. HEROs threads always went in the K-1 forum as well. FEG owns K-1 World MAX, K-1 World Grand Prix (both of the K-1 kickboxing shows) and DREAM.

The K-1 forum isn't just for kickboxing. It is the K-1 fighting and kickboxing forum. Plus, they have agreed to work together through sharing fighters and possibly co-promoting events, but are still separate promotions. The EliteXC forum is for events and news regarding that specific promotion and doesn't even include other promotions owned by the same parent company, Proelite. I suppose you could rename all the forums to their parent company, Zuffa, Proelite, and FEG, and that would include any promotion that falls under their corporate umbrella, but I like the way they are now.

The plans are to re-align the forums a bit as well as some name changes. But as Aika and Dirty said, EliteXC and Dreams will not be merged. Hopefully, it should happen in a few days.

Why not make one MMA section with different promotors, and one Kickboxing K-1 section.
So you would have MMA section. With different forums. One for UFC, one for EliteXC, one for Dream. And one for the rest.
And a K-1 kickboxing section for the K-1 and kickboxing. We might actually follow the rules set out of us then....

We should follow the rules set out for us regardless of the layout of forums and subforums. For the most part members know where to post topics with moves made by the mod team when needed.
Also, if you notice on the main page even the main forums are already divided into groups like you mentioned.
Fight Night has The Lobby, The Arena, and The Betting Pit
Mixed Martial Arts has MMa Forum, UFC, EliteXC, and K-1 Fighting and Kickboxing
and so on...

I know, wich brings us back to the point why this thread is made. Why not call the k-1 section, Dream (Like the actual name), and put another K-1 section under more fighting. But they are going to change it, so lets hope for the best.
Maybe it is because i am from holland. Because here there is a hugeee difference between K-1 and Mixed Martial Arts. Maybe that is why it kind of bothers me. |
