Matt Lindland set to fight Tito Ortiz in WFA in Feb.
It was reported on Sherdog today that a fight between Matt and Tito is supposed to take place in Feb. I couldn't get the details though because the site wasn't working for me. If someone else can get it and post the details if not I'll get it up here as soon as I can. I think this has my vote for a very boring match. Plus if Don King is in fact involved with WFA I'll have nothing to do with it.

Here's the full article taken from Sherdog:
Matt Lindland is set to sign a three-fight contract this afternoon that would seal the deal on a February light heavyweight contest in Las Vegas between himself and former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz for the main event of the resurrected WFA, Sherdog.com learned Thursday.
Ortiz, the longest-reigning UFC 205-pound champion in the promotion's history, has already signed on the dotted line, sources close to him told Sherdog.com, making this his first fight outside the UFC since December 1998.
Lindland was touted as the UFC's No. 1 middleweight contender before the promotion dumped him in August after it said the 35-year-old fighter from Oregon violated the terms of his contract by wearing clothing at a UFC event which promoted online gaming. Before he faces Ortiz, Lindland fights Antonio Schembri at middleweight on December 3 in the UK's Cage Rage.
I agree with jonny, this match up just doesn't excite me at all.

Yea man, he stole most of Mike Tysons money which is one of the reasons big mike went bankrupt in the first place
Sherdog isnt working for me either, Im guessing Linland would probably win

I was wondering though what weight class are they to be fighting at 185 or 205 or does WFA have it's own classes?

I'm thinking 205. Lindland will probably be moving up. No way Tito could make 185. I think that might favor Matt. But the guy works like no one else from the clinch and can take just about anyone down.

I don't know too much about Lindland except he was an Olympic sylver medalist in wrestling. What kind of fighter is he? All around, ground and pound, stand up? Or is he like Tito take em down and dry hump them for fifteen minutes?

He's been referred to as a boring fighter because he is very similar to Tito's style. He is an amazing wrestler thats for sure. Not the best ground and pound but he does what it takes to win.

No kidding. Gross was talking like it was a sure thing, then of course Tito says nope. I don't think Tito will ever fight again. He just wants people to keep talking about him.
