Yeah, that was back in 1996 when a lot of fighters were not very good at MMA. Kimo was hardly the best MMA fighter around back then, and is not that great now either. He is still very strong. But, Bamm Bamm was not a young guy then either. He is a big man. Kimo did a double-leg takedown that failed, but he did get a hold of an ankle and turned it inwards. That caused Bamm Bamm to fall back onto his back. After that, he was like a turtle. He could not get off his back and Kimo pounded the daylights out of him.

yeah it was similar to the bam bam fight in respect to it going to the ground but in teh bam bam fight the ref just let them stay there and have kimo pound on him and then chok ehim... i think teh only reason that kimo choked him is he knew he wasn't going to knock him out

Ok, sure, I will sign up to fight Cabbage but probably lose since I've never faught inside the octagon and Cabbage's chin is impressive. Are you a fan of him because honestly hes become very terrible and is losing to all the bad fighters like Tank, Butterbean, and even Bart Gunn.

wow i'd never seen the Butterbean Bart Gunn fight. lol. Gunn got it dirty. but the Cabbage fight was not at all like some of you are telling it. to me it looked like Cabbage woulda won the fight quite easily if he hadnt hurt is arm. he hurt his right arm quite early in that fight and was throwing left elbows for the entire match. also if it was a regular MMA match Bean woulda been finish'd when Cabbage took him down. much like Kimo did to Bam bam

i am a fan of any fighter who has fought against guys like Tim Sylvia and Andre Arlovski. yes he got beat but he was there when alot of guys won't even sign the contract to seal the deal. every fighter is going to lose a fight at some point in their career but thats the sport. it bothers me alot when people who don't fight are overly critical of a fighter's performance, especially of they did'nt pay to see it.

it should be noted that there where special rules in this fight. after X number of seconds the fight was automatically brought back to standing. i am not sure of the exact count but it was 30 seconds or less. had it been a pure MMA match i think Cabbage would've won the fight.

what do you mean Cabbage was in control before the injury? Cabbage injured his arm backstage before the fight even started. had he told the doctors they would'nt have cleared him to fight so he did'nt say anything. he went into that fight with an injured arm and it was probably a mistake....well, he lost so there is no probably about it.
