Default Tank -vs- Buentello and other "Well Knowns"

Strikeforce is putting on a good card (for names anyway) including:

Tank Abbot -vs- Paul Buentello
Josh Thompson -vs- Duane Ludwig

Also featured are:

Bobby Southworth
Trevor Prangley
Jason Von Flue
Cabbage and more.

Look here for details

Buentello got KO'd by a glancing blow from Andrei Arlowski.

Tank?

Well, he got top shoulder locked by KIMO?

I don't know. Flip a coin and your guess would be as solid as mine as to who will win this freak match!

No disrespect to either fighter, but come on. In this day and age of "fighters"?

This isnt a bar brawl in 1988!

Who is Cabbage fighting?

On that site where you scroll down to see the fights it has it listed as Cabbage v Warpath, but directly underneath it in the profiles it shows he fighting someone called Sherman Pendergarst?

It will be good to see Paul fight again. Was a little disappointed to see him get booted from the UFC. Heck he went 3-1 in 4 matches there. It's not like Dana has a surplus of talent there. And we never did get to see Paul-Silvia either.

I'd like to see the "Bang" fight as well.

Just an update I read on MMAweekly
Quote:
Wesley “Cabbage” Correira is no longer on the card due to medical reasons that will prevent him from participating. Also removed was his scheduled opponent Ruben “Warpath” Villareal, who was dropped off the card for unknown reasons.

The last change is that Bobby Southworth sustained an injury during training and was forced to pull out of his scheduled fight with Anthony Ruiz. Taking his place against Ruiz is Trevor Prangley, who was scheduled to fight Bryan Pardoe, thus dropping Pardoe off the card.
So it looks like neither cabbage or Southworth is fighting. Southworth is a joke anyway and I'd rather watch Prangley.

Well, David "Tank" Abbottskivichenstein lasted all of 43 seconds against the Headhunter. Hopefully the UFC will take notice and get him back under contract. He would make a much better fight against Timmy than Monson, IMO.

This is a great interview with Paul. He is one of my favorite fighters because of who he is as a person. With him there's so little bull**** and drama. You can tell he's always sincere and real. I really hope he gets a rematch with AA eventually. That fight should have been sick. I heard he went into his fight with tank pretty flabby. I hope he gets lean from here on out. I'm sure we'll see him back in the UFC eventually. This was just a case of him taking the better deal. If he wins his next 3 fights as impressively as this one, we'll see him back in the UFC late next year.

Tank just bullrushed him into the cage,Paul circled out and caught him with a big right and pounced on him.

The entire event was pretty good, only like two fights made it past the 1st round.

Thomson pretty much dominated Bang.

not surprised to hear Buentello got the KO. he is a sharp striker with good footwork, he tends to make brawling style fighters look like fools, ie. Justin Eilers. Tank is old and lacks any athleticism required to keep up with a guy like Buentello.

What do you mean? So they can post the fights on here and people can view them without paying the PPV?

In that case, No, no one does that. Whoever does that stuff is just hurting the sport by bootlegging the fights.

Strikeforce doesn't have PPV,and there was a pretty poor showing at the event. If anything, bootlegs help to bring exposure to Strikeforce IMO.

There are a few bootlegs of the entire event, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to show them.If you search hard enough you can find them.

If you build a rep, you will go far, if that means giving people sneak views then thats what they should do.

Because at this moment all I know of them is in this thread.
