Default OPEN IFL team tryouts to be held...

I really thought this as coo. Everyone knows that Ken Shamrock is one of the newer IFL coaches and that he will have a team based in Reno, Nevada named the Lions. He is planning on holding open tryouts for the team. This is a pretty good oportunity for anyone that thinks they might have what it takes to compete in MMA. Heres the link for you to read:

Ya, maybe, but in all fairness to Ken, they really didnt edit the show to make him look good. I think it was a purposeful attempt to make it looke like there was more tension and contrast between him and Tito than there really was. He has been training top notch fighters in the Lion's Den for some time. Sure, they arent all holding belts but their records boast at how good of a teacher and coach Ken is. I think he will do just fine as a coach in the IFL.

Also, its great to see that when some of the current and older fighters step aside for the younger talent, that they arent just forgotten, they have a place to go and still be able to give back to the sport and teach. The team concept does for MMA what other sports have always had, a self-perpetuating breeding ground for its future teachers, coaches, and management.

Ken is actually the guy who inspired me to start training and learning more about MMA. i picked up his first book and read it from front to back over and over, that was quite awhile ago and by today's standards Ken's methods are out dated. this sometimes happens with fighters turned coaches, they think that what worked for them is what will work for everyone else as well. i really thought Ken was going to go into TUF 3 as the better coach and i was very disappointed in what i saw. i was very disappointed at his dedication to his
guys, missing workouts is BS and the fact that he blamed all his loses on bad luck was BS as well. maybe they edited Ken to make his look the bad guy but i still get the feeling that he fits the "Ex-fighters don't always make good coaches" line.
