Default Full Contact Competition Open to ANYBODY In UK

As the title says. Been surfing the net and found this interesting comp for any aspiring MMA people out there. This is a NO HEADSHOTS competition so would be a good starting point for people that want to see what they are made of, without going to work the day after with a nose like Rich Franklins.

This was a starting point for some of the Cage Rage fighters .

Apparently, all you need is £18 for a fight license and entry to the competition.

Heres the link Open Trials 2007 - MMAUniverse.com

Any takers??

Mirko Filipovic: Only if Cameron Diaz will be there. I decided that I'm going to marry her.
Stephen Quadros: Where do you see yourself in three years.
Quinton Jackson: Let's see, I'm 22 right now. In three years I see myself being 25.

I've been weighing up the pros and cons for me and am still thinking about it.

Advantages are I feel I have quite good hands, average knees and good kicks and can take quite a bit of punishment to the body. Also the no headshots rule for means that my nose getting bust again wont be a problem. Disadvantages are that I have NO ground game at all and would have preferred to know about this a few months earlier to get some practise in JJ or something similar.

In my opinion , it would suit someone with really good BJJ and average standup. It might be worth it for anyone wanting a bit of experience before jumping in the deep end with a full MMA rules fight.
