I blame women's boxing !! For its poor talent and over hyped fighters and my DNA !! LoL

But anyways for real...

Unlike other sports where women were not a part of it and it just took that one that was good enough to get everyone on the bandwagon like Danica for IRL, Women's MMA will need more then just one or two that are good and have marketability they will need to have 1/2 a division most likely to get the PRIDEs and UFCs to justify putting $ into that part of the sport, To have one or two that are popular and known to be good by MMA fans isn't enough to have big organizations with Top male fighters justify putting Female fighters on a card that are unknowns to most people who will automatically assume they SUCK for lack of a better word.

Now I know there are plenty of girls that can fight but there will need to be more of them that break into the spotlight a bit before big orgs. take notice.....So its good smaller orgs. that don't have the big stable of TOP male fighters are willing to put the top females into their shows, One can imagine that when MMA is covered by ESPN and others like them they will have a better platform for promoting this side of MMA and getting some of the Females better known so that the PRIDE's and UFC's can have some justification for putting Females onto their cards and once it gets to that point it will probably snowball and they will be able to set up a women's division and bring in unknowns to fight against the women with bigger names people had a chance to see.


The TOP MMA TEAMS could help female MMA out a lot if they made it more public about females training with them if they have any in their camps it would give them some form of legitimacy to break into the spotlight if the more common fans heard that X female fighter came from "Brazilian Top Team" or "AKA" and the likes.


After all that then they can start to win over the guys like me that for what I imagine is simply genetic have little to no interest in seeing girls fight in MMA couldn’t care less if she is pretty or feminine or looks like a dude on roids it simply doesn’t interest me for reasons I can’t answer.......I don’t even know why I like seeing guys fight in MMA but I just do and for some reason I don‘t feel the same about female fights.
