Bodog fight USA vs Russia

They're playing Bodog Fight Usa vs Russia on a local tv station (WVPX, Cleveland) on the bottom right it says ION which I'm guessing is the sponsor for the station, anyways just wanted to give everyone a heads up to check their local listings to see if possibly it's playing near you too.

It's currently 8 pm eastern here.

I'm watching BodogFight: St. Petersburg after I caught the tail end of USA vs. Russia.

Fight-wise, what the hell were the ropes made of -- limp spaghetti??? If you're going to go with ropes you have to make sure that they're firm and can support weight and that you have the Pride rope referees (or whatever they're called) on top of any rope holding. There were more than a few times when the ropes ruined a ground battle.

IMHO, Bodog has to really improve their production values to ever be a real competitor to UFC/Pride. My biggest gripes are the audio and the commentators. I could barely hear the crowd (and trust me a good audio guy can make any crowd sound decent), but the boring play-by-plays just made it worse.

I was annoyed by the crowd, everytime someone would throw a technique you'd hear the same guy in the audience yell "OOH!" every single time. Could also do without the concert.

At least you guys watched it for free. I paid $40 for it when it was PPV and it's the first time I've been mad about a poor PPV.

ouch, this was a PPV! Yeah, that does suck. I was unimpressed with its quality as compared to say a UFC Ultimate Fight Night Live, but for a PPV that's terrible.
