They had him beforehand, they are just making a bigger deal out of it now.. can you blame em? I worry that they wont let him fight in PRIDE and will want to monopolize on his name and recent victory over Gomi though.

That will suck if Gomi isn't give a chance to redeem himself. He was obviously having a bad night, cardio wise, and he did break Nick's face... he deserves the rematch and Nick Diaz deserves to go for the Pride title. You raise an interesting question, I wonder if Nick Diaz will be allowed to fight for Pride and EliteXC.

Yea that could be a concern. They have said they're not worried about keeping their fighters exclusive. But lying and hipocracy go hand in hand with business.

I hear what you mean. But Shaw/EliteXC has plans to be the biggest promotion. They are looking to be bigger than Pride or UFC.
They have promised that their fighters will be allowed to fight anywhere anytime, but most doubt those claims from where they are coming from, former boxing promoter, Gary Shaw.

Thanks for the link, I agree Nick Diaz needs to fight for the title and Gomi has to redeem himself if he can, against Diaz. It will be an explosive fight the 2nd time around and I hope EliteXC will allow Diaz to fight after he heals of course.
