This will be a big power match up, but if Monson doesn't sub Randleman I think Randleman will take the UD.
Edit: Where is this fight supposed to take place?

Really? Randleman's never had the best sub defense and if anyone's gonna exploit that it'll be Monson.

This is good news ! I really like Jeff, he seems like a really nice and smart guy, with solid game. I say Monson by sub, catching an over aggressive Kevin in an arm bar / triangle. I hope this fight happens !

Randleman does'nt stand a chance. Monson can beat him standing or on the ground. I honestly don't know what Randleman can even bring to this match. Monson in the first round any way he wants.

Randleman shouldn't come into fights so dry. It is a fight, not a bodybuilding competition. I guarantee he would have more gas in the tank if he came in better hydrated and not so nearly bone dry.

More confusion surrounding Jeff Monson? Why is that not surprising. I'd rather see him fight Kharitonov then Randleman. I still would pick Jeff to win but it would be a much tougher match.

I'll be honest, MMAFightLine is so unreliable with its rumors, that I never believe them until they pop up somewhere else without listing them as the source. They are so full of garbage rumors, its ridiculous. They don't report where and for who Randleman-Monson are supposed to fight. That's pure speculation
This is the same blog that reported that Nick Diaz turned down a fight with Shinya Aoki on NYE, something Diaz completely denied ever being offered. They also claim that M-1 is trying to book the Izod Center in NJ for the first US PPV. The Izod is already booked that night for the circus. Additionally, M-1 has never seen the building as they have their eye set on the Prudential Center in Newark NJ. They toured that arena the week after UFC 78.
Its a shady blog at best

Yes, half of Randleman's losses have come to subs, but he's beaten some good sub guys too and some very good strikers also. Pedro Rizzo, for one, who also just demolished the Snowman. Unless, Randleman comes in all spaced out or something, I think he'll beat Monson.

Rizzo did beat Monson but many people feel that Jeff was actually winning the stand up portion of that fight early on until he tired. I just don't see Randleman being good enough to surprise Jeff with anything. He's explosive and intense but he's really just a wrestler without any other tools. He also has'nt trained in awhile and he failed the drug test for his last fight.
