I don't know if I agree with Kit Cope being up there but it's hard to argue against it. I think every fighters got something to bring to the table but some people get more exposure than their skill level should allow (i.e David Abbott.)

At this moment, Brock Lesnar. Just based on the fact that he's 1-1 in MMA and currently considered a main event level fighter as well as a contender for the title. Does he have potential? Of course, but he does'nt have a proven record to back it up. Not yet anyway.

BJ Penn. He's a great fighter when he is in shape. I love watching him fight. But NOBODY is remotely close to as good as The Coconut Huggers Superhype Machine says BJ is. Really, this is a 50/50 problem. 50% BJ not taking cardio seriously enough, and 50% a rabid fanbase that sees him as god.

#1 undisputed overrated fighter of ALL TIME: Musashi. Unexceptional kickboxing career known for getting judges decisions more times than not.. even if he had a grand mal seizure in the middle of the ring.. as well as can after can in the twilight of his career, (Randy Kim [0-4], Sean O'Haire [0-4] Toro Oishi [9-8] Tsuyoshi Nakasako [17-25], Akebozo [nuff said there]) and a Perpectual K-1 World Grand Prix finalist, even if he did not earn his way in via tournament victories.
(45-24-5 overall, with only 15 wins coming via KO)

Okay, Kimbo is not overrated. Who rates him highly ? No one I know. He is over hyped, but you have to be rated highly to be overrated. The same with Phil, he has never been highly rated or thought of as a TOP tier fighter, so he is not overrated. Kit Cope can not be overrated in Muay Thai as he has been a Muay Thai world champ many times. He is not overrated as an MMA fighter because no one rates him highly... Now people seem to rate Rashad Evans highly, so to me he is overrated.. big time...

His title was from an alphabet soup org. Nothing like being Lumpinee or Rajadamnern champ.

I have always thought that "The ICEMAN" has gotten more praise then what he has deserved. When he became the champ and defended his belt he literally fought nothing but grapplers, which he does extremely well against. When he's gone up against someone who can bang he's had some trouble. Alistair Overeem & Guy Mezger were both giving Liddell problems and had even dropped Liddell at points in the fight. Even when he fought Vernon White Liddell looked frustrated and was looking to his corner for some tips before he won. He is 0-2 against Rampage and if he fought Silva again I think the fight would go down differently.

I smell another av bet coming.
I would say Rashad Evans?
I think Cung Lee is pretty overrated as well. Maybe im just frustrated because someone the other day told me he would beat up anyone in the UFC no problem.

I don't think Kimbo and Brock are overrated...over hyped maybe not overrated. they are just too early on in their careers...now if they plateau out and stop making progress then maybe.
1. Matt Lindland
2. Nick Diaz
3. Tank Abbott
4. Frank Mir
5. Diego Sanchez
Before the Nogeria fight I would've said Tim too...but either he really is good...or Randy is just that much better than all of them.

Does it really count anymore since he is taking cardio serious now and proved it in the last two fights? actually three cause of pulver.

1. Kit Cope due to the hype he got going into his dismantling by Florian
2. Michael Bisping like him alot but got preferential treatment in Hamill match then lost to Rashad.
3. Houston Alexander until he got beatdown by Thiago silva
