Among the contestants are Jeremy Bailey, who once served ten months for actual bodily harm; Glenn Appleby, a civil servant with the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs; current Thai boxing world champion Karen Ousey; and former Hollyoaks actor Alex Reid. Narrated by Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels star Nick Moran, Cage Combat is produced by an all-female production team.

    Should be interesting!

I watched on TWC ( the wrestling channel) last night.from 2am-6am.......Cage Warriors - UK vs. The World! Only watched it 'til 4am though, got too tired lol. It was based at the coventry dome or something. From July 2005. I never seen it before but looked pretty good. It's nice to find out that there's more events in UK than i expected.
The next UK event i will be watching is Cage Rage next thursday... 16th - Sky Sports 3 at 11pm i think.

Nice one Feza, I dont have the Sky Sports package so I'll have to go over to a friends to watch/record Cage Rage! Is it the one from Feb 4th they're showing, or the one from last December?

Ive never really watched too much of TWC, everytime Im flicking through channels it always seems to be TNA on it. I'll have to keep my eye out for some MMA on there.

K1 used to be on Eurosport sometimes but I can never find it on anymore.

Yeh, i've never watched TWC as i hate wrestling! But i was flicking through the channels and saw Cage Warriors!
I ain't sure which they are showing on Thursday, just read i somewhere....I haven't really watched many Cage Rage events, as i never know when they're on, and also they seem to do alot of chatting and less fighting, but i may be wrong

Yeh i don't know what happened to K1 on Eurosport???! I will be keeping my eye peeled for future events. Also i wouldn't mind attending some events in the future!

Yeh! Just when i thought nothing good was on TV, i randomly thought i'd check TWC, And it's on! Cage Warriors 8 :Brutal Force I've missed an hour but still got an hour left!!

Gaz - Have you known about Cage Warriors on TWC for a while?? Or is it new news to you too?

EDIT: Sunday (today) - 4:00pm Cage Warriors 8: Brutal Force
(on TWC) 8:00pm - 12:00midnight Cage Warriors: Strike Force 2

It looks like these 2 shows are repeated a few times throughout the week too.

Hi feza ,I have only heard about Cage Warriors on TWC since reading this thread.

It's a bit less snazzy than UFC, but fighting is still fighting.

    Ez gazbrook!

Yeah I caught literally about 5 minutes of Cage Warriors at a friends house late on Saturday night, but managed to miss both shows yesterday.

Looks like it might be worth keeping an eye on TWC! I'll post up more if I find anything else interesting being shown.

Did either of you ever see any of the mma that the Men & Motors channel used to show (presumably in competition with Bravo showing ufc)? I caught some of the Pride 29 highlights, as well as some IFC and K1 highlights but then they seemed to just stop lol.

Yeh, it's hard to find mma stuff on uk tele. But TWC seem to be showing the same two Cage Warriors programs. I've managed to watch just about all of both shows now. There was a 'super heavyweight' fight on last night between a huge fat black dude and a big white dude. The black dude had some mean punches and KO'd the other in the 2nd round i think.
Dan Hardy seems to be a good fighter.....he fought two bouts in the same night and won both! lol

As Gaz said, it's not as snazzy as UFC. But UFC in my opinion is just the greatest championship in the world! It's all good watching though.

Just been looking at the Cage Rage site, and apparently during February the Men&Motors channel is showing the first series of the Cage Rage show. According to the site a 2nd series is being filmed and will be shown later in the year. Its on every Monday at midnight

It also says theres a new fight channel launching in March which will have exclusive CR footage, called Fight Sport TV. Should be good

That's some real good info Mulla!! Nice one!..

I've been thinking lately why there's isn't a channel solely for fighting sports! (not fake wrestling) I hope they don't fill the channel with wrestling! keep it boxing and mma!

I think on the CageRage show on thursday(just gone) Ian Freeman mentioned the next live fightnight in April, i'd love to go watch it live one day, maybe in April if i get round to it.

Yes, on Men&Motors last night, CageRage followed by K-1. Did anyone watch??! I liked the clip they showed of that fighters previous fight(can't remember his name) where he was doing some crazy moves....Like where he done a cart-wheel into mount!!

I've missed all these fights, just got back from two weeks in Thailand.

The Muay Thai there was brutal and fights got stopped a lot later than i think they would in UFC with cuts. One guy literally couldn't see there was that much blood running from the top of his head ,but it only got stopped with a KO a couple of minutes later.

I Still think UFC has the best fighters as its all different disciplines and not just one.

It was mad to watch a 12 and 13 year old fight ,who had already done 25 and 30 fights respectively.

I also saw Liam "hitman" Harrison from Leeds beat a good Thai fighter to retain his Welterweight belt.
