Granted I think all the p4p talk is pointless but regarding that, his name seems to come up a lot when talking about that and/or the top fighters. |

It's all a matter of perception. Most fighters are both overrated and underrated, it just depends on what day it is or who you're talking to. Fan favorites are obviously going to be overrated. Dominant champions become overrated because people need to perceive them as unbeatable. Someone like Jake Shields has been underrated his entire career, but thanks to a huge win over Dan Henderson some people are now overrating him. Some of the best fighters get overlooked because their style isn't exciting or they're not in the UFC. With only so much spotlight there ends up being a lot more underrated fighters. Plus, no one stays overrated forever. Time makes fools of us all. It's in our nature to build people up so we can break them down later. Overall, I think these guys get the most/least credit for their accomplishments.
OR- BJ Penn, Nate Diaz, Wanderlei Silva, Junior dos Santos
UR- Travis Fulton, Jeremy Horn, Travis Wiuff, John Fitch, Tim Sylvia, Sean Sherk, Vladamir Matyushenko, Yushin Okami

I think for sure Florian is an improved fighter, but then his fight with BJ Penn totally proved that he's not a champ caliber yet. I think Frankie Edgar would beat him too.
