Lodune Sincaid vs James Irvin
Did not see that one coming. Wish I saw the fight.
http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...=1748&zoneid=2
There's the MMA Weekly article but basically Sincaid was able to keep Irvin on his back the whole time and pound out a decision. I do think Irvin is overrated but I would've never thought Sincaid would stand a chance. Of course I've only seen Sincaid against Bobby and Nate so I assumed it would go the same way.

wow i cant believe that!! as little respect i had for irvin i had alot less for logan... he didnt even seem like he was in the right profession.. he seemed more like a bouncer at a bar that thought he was tough but got knocked around by the real fighters... good work for him though... maybe irvin should think about a career change.... hes been dominated in every fight ive seen of his except for 1 flying knee

Well it does seem like Irvin is in a slump. Yes losing to Sincade is pretty bad. But he shouldn't be completely written off. He can put on great shows but if he keeps getting matched up against any with a decent ground game he's in trouble. He would definitely be better suited for boxing but I don't want to see him vanish. Just have better matchups. Watch some of his older fights and you'll see he can be entertaining.

I was surprised by this upset as well, but I wouldn't say Irvin's in a slump. That was a pretty decisive win over Terry Martin in their UFC bout.

Wow...Sincaid kinda reminded me of the guy who was just happy to be there. But good for him. Along those same lines though, it looks like Mike Whitehead got his first MMA win in a RITC event.

Well I'm talking about two losses in a row. I guess a slump wasn't the right word but I bet there are a lot of people who are thinking James is a joke now. But that's hardly the case. He just needs some good defense on the ground and he'd be pretty dangerous. It just seems that he keeps getting matched up with guys who are afraid to bang with him. I don't blame them for doing that but that's what makes it seem like he's not so great. The guy knocks everyone out unless they get him down and work him there.

Mike has had several wins before that fight.

No biggie. Just a minor detail I was pointing out. Good that he got a win though. Funny thing is he beat the guy who was supposed to be just another win to pad Ricco's record. One would assume that Mike didn't have much trouble with him though since he finished him off in the first couple minutes of the first round. Just shows how little Ricco has left in him to keep fighting.

Speaking of Whitehead's win, what the hell is a "keylock"? That was what the article said he finished him off with.

Just another shoulder lock. Keylock just means the arm is rotated laterally.

Exactly. The keylock is basically the exact reverse of the kimura, in which the arm is twisted medially.
