Thanks for the help, although they both did seem up for it that night I did think it wouldn't happen, and if it did I would be with Tyson all the way, Bob Sapp has the power in his punches but thats about it and he does look sloppy and not right in the ring, which is not enough for him to be as cocky as he can be.

I agree with GSPALLTHEWAY. This was actually a thread a few months ago. Mike Tyson hit Danny Williams with everything but the ringpost in the first round of their fight, and got KO'ed the next. Tyson's punches, against a conditioned/experienced fighter, got nothing left on them. Sapp would Maul him. Ernesto Hoost was/is a lot faster/accurate puncher than Sapp also, and Sapp took what he had to give, right before he knocked him out. If it were boxing only, Tyson would probably win by decision, just because he is a better striker and faster...but make it a K-1 or MMA match and it's "Good-night Mr. Tyson."

1.If they were boxing Mike would KO him.
2.If they were kick boxing Mike would KO him.
3.If they were in a MMA match Mike would KO him.
4.If they were in an alley Mike would KO him.
5.In they were in Sapp's dreams Mike would KO him.

Wow! Not too in touch with reality are we? Again, now listen this time, Mike Tyson's punches have nothing left on them anymore. We're talking about a guy who's been fighting for over 20 years professionally...and a circus sideshow for the last 15...give it a rest. He's a fricking Joke! Bob Sapp would knock him into oblivion.

I guess it's better than to have and to have lost. Than to never have had in the first place.- Smart Chineese feller
I'm talking about punching power by the way.

Not to mention, he's a convicted felon and can't fight in Japan.
It would have to somewhere else than there.

What is the difference b/w a big goofy irish guy and a big goofy black guy besides the color of their skin and about 80 lbs. It's funny how you bring skill up in this discusion and the only skill Sapp has is to be big and swing. The only two punches he has is a swinging right and a swinging left. He just flails his arms and pushes people over with them. Sapp is horrible, his best asset is the needle.

The challenge happened a long time ago actually. Tyson signed a contract with K1, if I am informed correctly (maybe it was just a rumor, not exactly sure). This was no contract for Kickboxing matches but boxing bouts. Mike was ringside once. After defeating his opponent, Sapp challenged Tyson who then entered the ring but showed no interest in trouble or fighting that night. Tyson advised him to sign the contract - not exactly sure what he meant. We have seen Tyson at Wrestlemania, I don't think we will ever see him at Kickboxing (as a fighter himself).

Guess you didn't watch his Osaka GP victories. He looked awesome with cardio and kicked.
No offense but Tyson could stay in the ring with Sapp. Sapp is too big and Mike is too run down for the match.

I guess we'll never see it. "Iron" Mike Tyson vs. Bob "The Chemical Beast" Sapp

if tyson wasnt the way he is and how he hits on every chance he gets, i think if he slowed down and made sapp miss some and get him tired then explode he would win, but come on now we all know thats not tysons style
