Extreme Fighting 1

A very good MMA contest I watched a few years ago was, actually more than a few years ago, was Extreme Fighting 1.. good fights.. with a very good final, Mario Sperry vs. Igor Zinoviev.

Anybody see this tournament?

i've never seen this but i have always been interested to see Igor fight. the only time i have ever seen him in the ring is when he fought Frank Shamrock and got slammed in the first ten seconds and did'nt get up. that fight was really hyped up and it was over so quick. you never get to see what Igor Zinoviev is or is not capable of.

The fight against Sperry was very good. Sperry had him locked up like 3 times.. and Igor got out of them, deserving the "true" Hodini status. Anyway..Sperry had the fight preety much in the can with his grappling.. but Igor managed to kick him in the face with a knee. After Sperry saw all the blood running he tapped out.

i'll have to keep an eye out for that fight on DVD somewhere. i had high hopes for Igor when he fought Frank but oh well.
