I think Eilers is winning nowadays based on the competition he's facing. He proved he'll lose 3 fights in a row against higher competition and then win 3 fights against lesser fighters. That's the way I see it. If Eilers made his way back to the UFC, I don't see him being successful.
everyone forgets how bad a knee injury he had... sure he lost to paul... that was a real fun fight to watch... then he lost to AA (as he blew out his knee when AA was creaming EVERYONE and being compared to fedor) then he was barely back on the recovery track when he fought vera and clearly out of shape... id like to see a healthy eilers... he brings it and its fun to see
i dont mind watching him fight, watched alot in the IFC when he was a newcomer, he can hit hard, prefer wathcing him to monson, gonzago, jordan and pedo pano
everyone had very high expectations for Eilers initially. he was training with Militech after all, you'd think some of the talent there would rub off on him. Eilers did fairly well against AA in thier fight until he blew his knee out. i am NOT saying he was winning by any means but he had gone longer with AA than many others had. i don't see him making waves in the UFC anytime soon but anything is possible.
