If Kimbo won with a gogoplata, that would be pretty cool actually.
But if he beat some big name just by brawling like he does, that would suck big time.
I wonder how much skill Mercer has as far as MMA goes. I know he is a skillful boxer but boxing is not MMA. We all, or a lot of us, saw how well Kimbo did against Gannon and all he used were some headlocks and clinch. If this goes to the ground, either of them could have some trouble and it probably will devolve into somthing resembling a playground fight.
I know Mercer got his butt kicked in K-1 on two seperate occasions so I am not sure how this will turn out but I assume Kimbo not being high on PCP will be an advantage for Mercer.

yea im not even sure kimbo wouldnt win... mercer is WAY over the hill at this point... i like that kimbo is getting involved in all this, and him getting creamed as SOME point, if not here, is inevitable

This fight is just one big mess, isn't it? Don't know about this Mercer guy, but from what I do know it seems these two will just swing it out like a bunch of wild animals, in which case Kimbo might just get the knockout. I would like to see Kimbo fight somebody that throws kicks. He dips his head way too low, dude's askin for a boot to the chops.

Mercer is definitely way up there in age. But lets not forget, one of the last things to go is power. George Foreman anyone. And Ray Mercer had great skills at one time. I was in attendance at MSG the night he was absolutely robbed of the decision against future champ Lennox Lewis. Mercer dominated the fight and everyone was stunned when the majority decision was given to Lewis. He always had very good KO power, especially his left hook.
Many have said Kimbo has been in training for MMA. Other reports say he's been training boxing. Who really knows. While this potential fight could go either way, reports are still circulating that Mercer will fight Hasim Rahman in the near future. Their earlier fight in February was cancelled.

You donīt learn MMA just by training for a few months. Mercer is a professional boxer who also has K1 fights under his belt. Kimbo canīt even be called a professional, at best he is some backyard fighter, who fights people who are too stupid to braid their rastas when fighting.

don't get me wrong, i think if it was a boxing match then kimbo would get his ass handed to him, but mma is not boxing. even the best stand up guys in mma need some takedown defense.
Yes, Mercer got his ass handed to him in K1, just like Botha.
But letīs not compare decorated K1 fighters to Kimbo Slice. My point is basically Kimbo is a nobody, Mercer is a professional fighter. Kimbo will get slaughtered in my opinion, IF age has not caught up to Mercer.
