I'm into neither.
There's no reason to eat any kind of rice ever imo.
There are better carb sources out there. Ones with lower GI, AND better nutritional value.
GI isn't completely independent of fiber.
You eat a certain amount of carbs.
If you digest fiber, fat and/or protein at the same time, the insulin spike will be smaller.

Are you serious?
Lactose is a carbohydrate. Which has a low GI, I might add.
Nothing wrong with drinking milk while losing weight. I drink almost a liter a day, and do A OK.

honestly dude this is just an area to exchange information and help out others.... not much place for the usual sarcasm in here IMO
rice can be a great side with a protein.... although all depends on what your doing and what your goals are

thanks gaz i agree... its just enough is enough... especially in this section....
anyways your right, back to the post..
i dont taste the difference between brown and white rice, so i just go with brown since i can deal with it... i like it as a side or a base for a dish... im trying to figure out a new good diet plan and will post when i do!

i eat white rice, but i know i should eat brown.
also i eat donuts and i think that is why i'm fat 
i've learned on this site that sugar is really bad and how anyone could say to eat a donut after a workout makes no sense to me

ok... i tried to change the subject back to topic before... didnt work... i just wont address that nice fellow anymore ; )
the GI with rice isnt exactly what your looking for... but brown i believe is better then white (not sure exact numbers of how much) its a great source of practical carbs without getting anything too bad... and 0 fat...... i say add it in, just not late at night if your looking to cut fat

I am trying to cut all carbs out of my diet now but if I push weights I feel totally sapped and I can hardly walk (I generally push weights untill I am ill). I need some sugar/carbs to help me get some engery back for the rest of the night especially if I am going to do some light cardio afterwards. So I have a small packet of lollie jet planes. They give me some glucose to help get my stores back they are a high GI so your body takes the engery in quick and you feel better for it. All the while the ones I get a natural and no artifical additives and are low in calories. I care about my diet and put a lot of effort into it. I find this works very well for me and you have to rember everything in moderation including moderation.

True you guys dont call them lollies do ya. They are little gummie candys that are soft and in the shape of a jet plane and are quite popular over here in New Zealand. I got told to take them by a guy who weights 118kgs and is 5'10. Needless to say he probabbly knows what hes talking about to build that kind of mass.
