Question My Supplements Stack! ADVISE PLEASE!

Hey guys..

I wanna start working out again.. Just the usual bodybuilding stuff.. Not MMA!

For years, I've used lots of supplements.. Some were great.. Some weren't!

But right now, I did my homework and saw the reviews on the latest stuff.. And this is what I'm planning to use:

* Protein powders: Optimum Nutrients 100% Whey Gold Standard
(because it's cheap.. and has whey isolate and some glutamine for recovery)

* NO + Creatine: BSN Nitrix
(Not cheap at all.. But I prefer pills over powder.. And this has good amount AAKG plus CEE.. So I'm thinking either this or Muscletech NanoX9)

* Multivitamins: NOW Adams
(has almost all the vitamins and minerals.. plus ZMA complex.. all the good ol herbs like Ginseng, Saw palmetto, Ginko.... I believe this is great for anyone's general health)

So my question is to all you experts in here..

Did anyone try any of those?
Do anybody think I must switch to other products OR should I stick to these??
Any additions you recommend to complement the stack?

Any advises are welcomed!

I think you're asking about the specific brands right? I use the exact same items but different brands, plus powdered glutamine and and BCAA tabs, and they work great.
As far as the brands go, I'm kinda poor so I go with Vitamin Worlds "Precision Engineered" brand.

EDIT: After posting this I did some price checking and the brands you posted would be cheaper, if bought online, than what I'm currently buying. Hmmmm

That's the protein I use, and I like it. I haven't tried any of the other brands you mention, but I think protein, creatine (CEE if you can afford it), NO and a good multi are an awesome combination. No criticism there. Just make sure that your diet is in order before you bother with any of this stuff. The food you eat is always more important than your supplements.

As long as the protein fits in your diet it's fine and as long as you can afford the BSN products I say go for it. You have the basics laid out (whey, creatine, multi) and IMO that's all ya need. Looks good.

Can't imagine which pic you're referring to. I stay pretty anonymous on the internet.

HAHAHA. No, that's me in the first photo, wearing a fake moustache and performing in a play. It was taken about 9 months ago when I was still about 20 lbs heavier than I am now, but I've never had abs like dude #2.

Umm too throw in a quick 2 cents, if your losing gut as well as putting on muscle, best bet is to go with a good whey protein supplement packing between 25 - 40 grams of protein a pop.

Either way, leave out the creatine, once you stop taking it the benefits stop, ala immediately and its just not worth the money unless your going ala patrick swayze roadhouse style into a fight and need the quick strength boost for the night. Joke aside, creatine is a waste of cash unless your a professional body builder.

Multivit...sure taking one is ok if your diet is ballz, in general though adding a 2000mg Vit C sup is way better than the full whack because its soluable and comes out when you pee, but you get full use of the general health benefits and you need more of this when you start doing exercises. Dont be tempted to take the great hyped up brands endorced by Fedor or whatever, a multivit from boots costing 2 bucks will do exactly the same as a multi vit produced on mars costing 50 bucks endored by he man himself. Its all the same.

Thanx Kale!

I already bought both the protein and the multivit! Both were great and cheap! And the protein powder virtually has no carbs in it so it's good for packing up muscles and losing some gut!

Thoughtful advise about the creatine too! You're right! Its effects don't last that long! I would still bought it thought but it's really expensive so I didn't!

np man

USN Diet Fuel | Fat Loss Diet Shake

this is the protein am mainly on (whilst in the uk) and can say its the best protein there is, particular for my needs which is martial arts, and i take the strawberry flavour

get on Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site. and order a reputable whey protein from them and youll get one a LOT cheaper, again think price, protein is protein for me you and anybody not carrying a X Gene, so think price before all the BS they like to market products with, USN though are defo my mainstay for sups cause ive tried a lot and only USN has delievered solid results. Also the price aint that bad for the UK, we get ripped off something bad there and so gotta bite the bullet when buying stuff unless its imported, which sometimes runs the cost to around UK prices anyhoo.

I would also take fatty acids, especially Omega 3.

The best combo imo is Protein/Glutamine/Multivitamin/Fatty acids
I don't use creatine but you can use it, and if there's enough glutamine in your proteins then don't buy individual glutamine powder.

i want to comment on what you said about all vitamins being the same. the truth is, they are not. Companies have to have a source for thier vitamins. in the majority of cases they go for the cheapest currently available to maximize profits. what you end up with is a pill that you can't assimilate. this is one reason why everyone who takes a multivitamin is pissing bright yellow. you're body is not actually using the 33,000% of you daily allowance of vitamin "pick one". the same goes for minerals, where does the calcium come from? is it in a form that the body can recognize and assimilate? i have given up on multivitamins and now make a real effort to get all my nutrients from a source that i know is safe and effective.
