Default Squid-Nutritional value?

Just wondering if anyone if anyone has any nutritional information about squid. It's cheap and tasty I find. Most fish are good sources of protein (Tuna and Salmon) but squid is one you dont hear about very often.

Never heard of eating squid for protein, although it sounds like an alright deal. You got me interested so I went and googled it. It has a good amount of protien. How much and in what amounts do you buy squid for?

The proportion of protein in squid meat varies. The water content of squid normally is between 77-80 percent of the weight of the body, and the protein content between 17-20 percent. The meat of squid caught in summer contains more water and less crude protein than that caught in autumn. Squid meat contains the same kinds of proteins found in fish meat and is equal in nutritional value. Squid is a nutritionally perfect source of protein, which means that it contains all eight essential amino acids in nearly proportioned quantities.

I get the spicy squid at this restaurant called Asian Grill. It's prepared on a skillet just like fajitas only there's no tortillas and rice. Actually had squid at a chinese buffet today for lunch...stuff's good.

Haha I'd say. Good to know, I love squid. Of course I usually eat it fried, drowned in marinara sauce but I'm sure I could get used to it plain.

Awesome! Thanks guys! I'm buying a truckload tomorrow. I saw it today selling for really cheap and I wondered about it.
