Foods
I have been trying to gain some weight and have been eating a lot of nuts, milk, cheese and meat. So far nothing has happened and I seem to be stuck at 112lbs. I was hoping to get up to 130lbs ASAP. Protein drinks are too expensive so I was wondering if you guys could tell me some other things to eat that will help me gain some weight. Thanks.

Same foods, (especially meat) more of them. More calories from clean foods, keep your proten at around 250 grams per day. How old/tall are you?

Tuna, chicken breast and eggs are three foods that are very high in protein, the protein is very digestable and they are affordable.
That being said... you're gonna get real sick of em.

his difficulty gaining weight could simply be due to his age. at only 14 it may be that his body just is'nt mature enough to allow him to gain alot of lean muscle mass.

My brother in law was the same way. At 14 he couldn't make the minimum weight for the wrestling team. I worked with him over the summer and he barely made it (103 from 89), and they dropped the minimum weight that year , but he did. He's 16 now and still hasn't gained much more. I rock! Just kidding.

Eat a lot of peanut butter. It's high in calories and protein. Plus, the fat in peanut butter's good for you.

you should mention he should eat REAL peanut butter. not Skippy or any of that other crap that has the peanut oil replaced with other lesser oils. better yet he should go to a place that lets you grind your own peanut butter from actual peanuts, Almond butter is an excellent choice as well.

I used to boil a lot of eggs, when I was a poor student in college, dump out the yoke and eat the whites. Egg Whites are higher in protein than even chicken or turkey. Yes, eat the healthy peanut butter. Smuckers makes a good brand. You actually have to mix the oils in. The key is: eat, eat, eat, and then eat some more. Couple that with a good weight lifting program and you're going to pack on the muscle.
