Picked up some supplements
I picked up some premium Whey Protien - 20g per severing, 30 severvings. Should i take it 15-30 minutes after my workout?
Also got some 100% pure Glutamine, it says to take 1 hour before workout.

Yeah, 30 minutes before hand is good.

NO. Creatine will simply add water weight to your muscles not to mention potentially dehydrate you.

I do this...I take 40 grams whey about 30-45 minutes prior to my workouts along with an aspirin and caffefine tablet. Immeadiately after my workout I take 20 grams whey, creatine, and glutamine. Typically, I take Glutamine with my vitamin, in the morning, and on lifting days, right after my workout...on non-lifting days I take it before I go to bed. Creatine can cause water retention and all that Aika mentioned. I drink a boat load of water on lifting days anyway, so, I don't worry about the dehydrated thing. If your urine stays clear, you're a'ight. Creatine isn't essential, but does boost muscle growth and recovery times. Not to be indifferent with Aika, but I'd recommend it. I've had nice results with Creatine in my diet. However, Aika's absolutely right about Creatine causing you to retain a bit more water and possibly dehydrating you so be sure to drink plenty of water on the days you take it. I drink 90-100 ounces of water on those days; sometimes a little more depending on how strenous the cardio I did that day was. Also, most companies recommend taking it everyday. I don't. I only use it AFTER I lift. If you still have doubts or concerns about Creatine, give your doctor a call...it may not be right for you or it may be ok too.

actually only creatine monohydrate will cause water retention, up to 8lbs in some cases. on the other hand, Creatine Ethyl Ester does not cause water retention. Creatine Ethyl Ester is more expensive but it has been proven more effective than creatine monohydrate. However there is absolutely no scientific data available on how any form of creatine will effect anyone under 18.

which brings a good question.. how old are you and what results are you looking for? If you are over 18 you might wanna look into the herb tribulus terrestis, it gives you a testosterone boost and you will keep that muscle on you.. T3 is a pretty good brand.. or check into 6-OXO, it also boots your bodys testosterone and blocks estrogen from entering your system, but these are best if you work out quite a bit and are at a breaking point and you need a little something to help your muscles get to the point where you can push through.
The bottom line though, no supplement will make up for hard work and commitment. EVER.

he's only 14, which makes recommending supplements tricky.

In that case.. DO *NOT* take anything that involves testosterone.. you could potentially cause your body to natrually produce less and mess up puberty.

Ya, dont take any test. boost products. Stick to creatine, multivitamin and protein. If you do take creatine drink a lot of water.

being only 14, I'd almost ask a doctor before taking any creatine...like Crashti said, nobody really knows the effects on younger people. But the Whey and multivitamin for sure.

I'd take some greens, simply because I know when I was 14 my diet was inconsistent. However you may be different

I cant agree with this more. CEE is a great product considering you only have take 3-6 grams of it and its pretty cheap. Some sort of whey isolate would also be great. never heard of the protein you are taking but I am sure its ok, but they are def better kinds. I want you to know this though. Your training and supplements wont do crap unless you have a good diet in order, and plenty of calories. Get plenty of protein (not justy from powder but mostly from food), a multi, and some creatine. My guess is if you as ka dr on whether or not to use creatine he will say no with the negative stigma it has. Proper hydration and proper dosing would most likely cause you no harm. But there is always a chance.
