Default energy?

Hey everyone I have been wondering this for a couple weeks now and wanted to know if there was a supplement to give you energy in the morning. I have been working till 1, getting home at 1:30 and waking up at 6 for school and feel like total crap. This has been going on for a while and I just feel drained. Any advice would be great ( And I have to work those hours cause I am a broke college student).

thanks
Ryan

I take Green Tea Extract. I don't like tea itself, but the extract I take has about 70mg of caffeine per serving.

Not at all, it's just a little caffeine. I think a cup of coffee has about 200mg. of caffeine.

i am a heavy drinker of Redbull. my breakfast lately has been a Myoplex RTD and a redbull. my favorite morning pick me up though is cayenne pepper powder. you mix it with a little water and drink it like a shot. eat breakfast first, goes great with oatmeal.

The best and healthiest ways to get energy in the morning are a good night's sleep, plenty of water (much of our fatigue is due to insufficient hydration), and a meal containing fresh fruits and vegetables. I get that you can't manage the night's sleep right now, but there's still the other two.

Yeah, SNS is right. If you can't get enough sleep at night, find time to take a nap during the day.

The problem with caffeine is that it attacks your nervous system. It perks you up by making your body think that something is wrong, so your heart starts beating faster, so you're more on edge. But it's exhausting, so there's an inevitable crash once it wears off. That's why if you can get off caffeine altogether, you won't need it in the morning and your energy level will be more even throughout the day.

And I say this as a coffee addict.

caffeine is an ergogenic aid that if not taken regularly, will greatly help an aerobic workbout.... however for those who take it regularly will simply lead to the above comments... although if someone had a distance aerobic contest, it has been shown to greatly improve performance if taken before the contest

Absolutely, and my best boxing coach said the same thing. If you can get off it on a full time basis, have a cup before an athletic event and you'll take off like a rocket.
